2500.00 a day and they can’t include unlimited drinks? Not expecting a bottle of Dom , but a few beers and cocktails really amount to very little for them. Very cheap imo.
Pure rip off. $2500usd for a few hours in a shed wirh water. Free power - wow. I will race out and book now. Ummm no i wont. More of a turn off than a turd in a pool
and have the cabana on its own away from people and music and right on the ocean , this was too far away from the sea with an fake heated pool misses it for me , I have had much better set ups for cheaper , the food is only cheap fast food too
The price is a joke. I rented a great cabana with NCL in their island at a fraction of the price and it had a full bathroom , Flatscreen TV and free alcohol.
Hi 👋 Guys! RIP OFF OF THE SEAS Should be the name!! Not worth my hard earned $$. Sorry but so TRUE👎. Had I joined you on this cruise 🚢 $7500-8000 1 person inside room?? WTF?? Hope it was an enjoyable trip👍🙏. Blessings🙏🌸🌼🌺
Thank you for showing the horror of Coco Cay these day's. Been al lot of times there, unspoiled. Icon.....not in a lifetime!!!! But, thank you...again for your great vid.
It's horrible what they've done to what once was an idyllically perfect little island. I wonder if anyone who was there in the early days actually likes what they've done to Little Stirrup Cay and the little beach barbecue.
Hi Ben and David. While the area and cabanas are lovely, for that price it should include everything!! Thank you for all your hard work and sharing with us. ❤❤
It should actually include vip transportation back and forth to and from the ship- door to door. So they can whisk you back to your room if you forgot something
I just have zero desire to get on such a huge monster ship. Only to have to queue up in a huge line every single time you want to do something that is not my idea of a good time! Love your content thank you for sharing, because it definitely helped me to realize this is not my cup of tea.
These Icon videos have served to reinforce my decision to never cruise on these monstrosities. Don’t want to share a cruise with 7,800+ people or pay exorbitant prices for things other lines include.
I’m watching these vids because I have zero desire to go on the Royal Caribbean/Carnival mega ships. I’m not the target audience for this, and that’s fine. I’ve been on the Celebrity Edge, which has a capacity of 3k, and didn’t have any problems beyond some activities filling up very fast. The Icon is completely next level.
How on earth do they justify making you pay £2500 and then charge you for the mini bar? I’ve noticed this sort of thing creeping into almost everything related to a cruise, they seem to think the thousands of pounds you’ve already spent wasn’t enough
It’s called having a captive audience. Lately my husband and I have gone to all inclusive resorts lately, because we get tired of being nickled and dimed every time we turn around.
@@lisathaviu1154 well this is the problem, an all inclusive resort where you get absolutely everything with flights included are cheaper than cruise. It wasn’t always that way. I get they have higher operating costs but I think I would be happier if they just changed what they needed and stop cutting things so everyone could have a decent experience no matter what their budget
I guess that’s the point. Nobody is making anyone pay. This is voluntary. And they’ll keep raising prices while people keep paying it. The best cure for high prices is high prices. Eventually people will simply stop paying.
Only ever been to Cococay once and it was far from a perfect day, it started cloudy but by lunchtime it was absolutely lashing it down. Everyone gave up and went back to the ship and since it was Harmony of the seas, there was 5000 plus people trying to all to get on at the same time. It took us over an hour - we were drenched like drowned rats! 😂
We like Ron and Larry! Thank you for allowing us to see this wonderful area at Coco Cay. Way too pricey for me, but it's a lovely space to spend the day in. You'd think that for £2500 the mini bar would be included.
Another moment of smiling - watching you 2 having fun!🎖🎖🎖😎😎😎🌟🌟🌟♥️♥️♥️ (But the price for the cabanas- without alcohol is outrageous- in my opinion………😳😳😳)
Well I don’t think it’s any of our business how they afford their trips. But also have you seen the engagement they get on their videos? By watching and commenting YOU are helping them pay for these trips.
Perfect day is the biggest cash grab ever. I thought it was rubbish, the water park is basic, the food ain’t all that. The beaches are ok but I don’t cruise for the beach. Waste of money when I went last.
David's bright, colorful shirt- 10/10. Commentary-' You'd do better with a piece of a door' - 10/10 Adults only? 10/10 Similar to Virgin- in looks and features. That ship is so much wider than others! Great video Thanks for sharing.
WTH 😧 2.500$?! For what?! For a private beach and pool?! Sorry…this prices are just ridiculous! For this money you can go on a different cruise for almost 10 days again…😅
On Disney’s private island you can get away from the kids - for FREE! I do not like RC, their prices are CRAZY!! You could go on a whole cruise for that price!
£2500 seems a crazy amount to me , as even paying that for the cruise is enough for us ! It does look amazing and I’m sure you appreciated it as a special treat. Really enjoyed watching though . How the other half live eh ? 😂❤
Royal Caribbean are in a mountain of debt following Covid and their aggressive ship building programme. Clearly hoping that the tactic of squeezing every customer until they squeak works out for them.
Thank you so much for this! So glad you have incredible fans that can share these experiences with you guys and us! We really enjoyed our time at the Celebration table with you! I don't even remember the food to be honest LOL. Thanks to Karin & Tim and Bekka for allowing us to participate in this! Just booked Star Inaugural in hopes of reliving the magic! Wendy & Jamie
Thousands and you dont even get the canned drinks??!! When 40 will get you the same food..beach..and up priced drinks??? You would be insane to pay that..almost the price of an entire cruise...come on!!!!
12:53 there has to be about 30 dollars worth of alcohol in that fridge and they can’t include that in the price. RC is a bit greedy when it comes to these things.
David: LOVE love love your Disney Pride shirt! Huge Disney fan and have a LGBTQ (adult) child. I would soooo buy that! Was that from the parks/cruise or online? You know the day is going to be fun when you are that colorful!
Hi guys. Have you been to Australia. If so when and which ship. I would like to see it please. You guys do a great job. Some people move to camera way too fast. I am a photographer and your skill are great thanks
This is one of the best videos I've found for Coco Cay - so well done! I Do think this place looks absolutely amazing, but some of the prices would make your eyes water - I guess it's just an example of having thousands of people arrive on a ship - someone will pay it, ha!
People will pay and the prices will stay. I don’t see it because you have access to multiple pools and free food all over the island. You are only paying for a cabana and a waiter. 😂😂😂😂. You also aren’t forced to buy extras. There’s really no need. The only thing we pay for on cruises are shore excursions. Plenty of food and entertainment that’s already included.
2.5k, but no private changing area (or at least a small area behind a curtain and you have to pay for the drinks from the fridge if it’s not in your drinks package 🤔 think I’d give that a miss. They really are nickel and diming. Kinda makes DCL cruise stopping at their private islands (castaway island and longhouse point) seem like awesome value (if DCLis your kind of thing)……..
You Both Are Amazing! I Had Never Thought About Taking A Cruise Vacation! I Wouldn't Know How, If I Hadn't Found Your Channel! Thank You Ben & David For All You Do!
Great video guys we loved it too we were next door to you guys thanks for visiting and taking the time for a quick chat we hope to run in to you guys on a future cruise
We find CocoCay so boring we actually avoid cruises stopping there. But we live on the ocean, so it's not something special. $2500. For real? When you can have it all for free anywhere else on the island; or better yet, stay on the ship when everyone else is off and have the entire pool deck to yourself plus all the slides rather than paying for the CocoCay water park.
Have been cruising for 28 yrs and been to CoCo when it was just water and sand and at least 4 times after the improvements. We paid $1398 then tax and grats made it around $1500. We love the island. And we loved the cabana even at that price. You can't get your own private heated pool anywhere else on CoCo Cay. Nor can you get everything delivered to you. It was worth every penny and we'd do it again. We've stayed on board too, a great option. But different strokes for different folks. This was really special.
@@commonsense246 Come to my house, swim in our pool, use our virtually private beach and I will serve you personally if you pay me $1500 for 6 hours. I will even throw in a bottle of bottom shelf rum. LOL
As a european its crazy how many lifeguards there are…. In france there are like two for the Open atlanic and if its realy dangerous they put up a red flag and go for a beer…
Music is the spice of life, the reason music makes you give off a negative vibe is because of strikes on youtube but most of us would enjoy the atmosphere created by music
I LOVE when adults only options are added. As someone with young kids, I don't want the party people near them! And if I was on an adult trip, I'd wanna be away from any kids! It's a WIN WIN!
Disney's Castaway Cay is amazing and includes the adult area and a great steak lunch. Some things cost extra but those extras make more sense than at RC's private island. We are casual cruises, once every 3 or 4 years. Our next cruise in June 2024 was picked to try a new cruise line for us and one which offered more in the fare + package. Royal Princess cruise to Alaska with Premium package. Still great reviews on what cruise lines offer and whether or not they appeal more to us than others. Thanks.
Disney cabanas at Castaway Cay looks better and better. For the price all the drinks in the fridge are included and a changing area in your cabana. And $600 for the day! The food which was bbq looked much better and was good. I’ll pass on Royal, that’s for sure
What is the surprise. Even before on the regular coco cay or labadee drinks are never included! If you went to the coco key beach club and got a cabana over the water or on land they HAVE NEVER included soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that they don’t on hideaway beach. I looked at the prices for the two cabana’s while they seem expensive they seem inline with the what they are charging in the other part of the island. I guess I don’t understand what the surprise is but it’s just my opinion. I will be there in may 2024, I know I will enjoy myself because I am fortunate enough to go on cruises while many others can not.
I appreciate watching a video for a ship I would never go on. RCL is the absolute king of overcharging and nickel and diming. I am on a 7 day cruise all inclusive that cost 1500$ usd. 400$ an hour for a cabana. I hope you get a happy ending for that price
Good afternoon folks 😊👋❤️🇨🇦..those kind of resorts should have toys like kites, beach balls, pails and shovels for sandcastles for adults…would be so much fun ❤😊
Regarding the outrageous cabana prices, I'll tell you what Royal Caribbean are thinking: PEOPLE PAY IT. Just like their over-water cabanas that cost as much as another 7-night cruise in a balcony cabin, they typically sell out. If you are gonna sell out whether they're $500 or $2500, you're gonna charge $2500. It's a bit of a shame because they do price some of us out of being able to do that even once in a while for a special occasion, but that's life, that's capitalism. As long as people are willing to pay exorbitant amounts, the prices aren't coming down.
Hi guys. I’m someone who would love to cruise but with recently being diagnosed with coeliac disease I’m worried that there would not be enough choice to eat. Could you show more for people with food allergies
Been here 3 times, and it’s lovely on the main beach areas, I wouldn’t pay extra to sit in another area. The Cabanas you noted are a total rip off. I think ‘flash Harry’s ‘ book them as they think it makes them look good. However, people think they are daft- $7000 a time.
I'm anxious to see your cabin! I hope that's next. The adults-only beach experience looked incredibly awesome. But I couldn't afford that. The price is outrageous! I'm glad I got to experience it vicariously. 😂
Sailed Icon Feb3-10 I was there at Coco Key . We paid to get in think 49 each. Wasn’t thrilled. Noisy noisy noisy . We had to scream at each other! Plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Swim up bar . Kind of felt like Margaritaville. We decided to go to the other beach forgot name but all the way to the very end . Past nature walk. Quiet great beach, chairs, lifeguard, umbrellas and we could hear each other. No fee to enter. Restrooms and secluded. Tram does take you there and back. It was beautiful. Hideaway was nice but the noise and chaos of very drunk people wasn’t my vibe. Hmm wonder what week Ben/David were there. As for the food, I didn’t see that menu. Possibly that was for cabana guests only
That cabana looks awesome!!! I am taking my friend on her very first cruise and probably vacation too. This private cabana would be great. But I cannot spend 2500 for this. With our car broken down and mine is on the verge, its hard. Its beautiful though.
Our Hideout Cabana only cost us $1500 with tax and grats. No liquor but we didn't need it as Diamond Plus members we used our 5 drink voucher which works on island just like the ship. Food was very good. We thought it was worth every penny!.
Wow what an awful price to pay ( as of you have not payed enough already 🤷♀️) Nope i much rather keep my money 🫣. Its really mind blowing crazy that you have to pay all that ,there No Drinks nor soda 😡 extra charge( money money 🎼🎼🎼) song ringing in my head . Of course those that can afford or treat them self. Good on you enjoy 😊 . Great video. Have a Good week 🥰
I don’t know how the cruise companies can say they are concerned with the environment? Two ships land on a man made Island theme Park introducing almost 10,000 people. Just the energy consumption for this many people on an Island the size of a postage stamp. So called private Cabana…..with everyone playing their style music. Nice relaxing day on the beach??? How can this not have an impact on the environment?
Royal Caribbean charges huge prices for very basic and mediocre experiences. I would rather do Viking or Regent Seven Seas that includes just about everything at the highest quality!
