My dad was in a band back in the late 50s, early 60’s and has a brick on the wall of artists that played at the Cavern. His claim to fame! Glad you enjoyed your trip to Liverpool.
That's so funny !! A few of your watchers on here. Including me ! Are from liverpool and didn't even know you could tour the liver buildings ! 😊 nice one boys ! . Bertie and Bella have stood the test of time and watch over our city proudly . Us scousers love our city ! Matthew street has brought me many laughs in my younger days in the pubs and clubs there as well as knowing that our famous 4 played in the cavern . As well as many other artists through the years . In the summer months there are often lost of buskers and local bands that play brilliant music too . The city has lots to offer , including 2 beautiful cathedrals and a world museum which is free ! The empire theatre and the stunning philharmonic too , well worth a visit for the acoustics alone. A few famous footballers own bars and restaurants there too , which are worth a visit , as well as the shankly hotel . So next time you in town boys , give us a bell and I'll show you around . Loved the sky dive thingy . And nick , you didn't do too bad on the accent either lad ! 🤣😂❤️
I'm commenting again 🤣 Thanks to you showing the Cavern, I looked it up and ordered some souvenirs to give as Christmas gifts. 🎄 Thank you for your help. ❤❤❤
That was a brilliant day out in Liverpool, I like most of the beatles music so I would like the cavern area you showed us around, I always associate it with Cilla Black as well as the beatles. I used to watch the Liverbirds on the TV when I was younger,it was very funny! You guys might not remember that programme. Your skydive looked very good,I thought you were both brilliant at it,so well done,I'm sure it's much harder to do than you would imagine. Great vlog guys and I'm looking forward to the next one 💙💙 xx
Liver building is now on our list. We’ve not been to Liverpool for a long time. Rob goes there to sort one of our houses out that we rent, but we never find the time to stay there. Great Vlog guys
I am definitely a lover of the Beatles music, so the trip to the Cavern Club was really fascinating. I am old enough to remember when they were actually making music, though I grew to appreciate them more later. I had no idea that Queen played there way back in 1970, or that the band had existed that long. And the skydiving simulator was fun to watch, too. I got to try out the second commercially operated vertical wind tunnel (the technical name for what that is) in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee years ago, and I remember it being pretty exhilarating.
I’m watching your vlog on 5 th nov just done brave the shave for Macmillan all my hair off everyone loves it….glad you enjoyed my home town it’s a great place to visit…..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad you enjoyed Liverpool. My son is a chef at one of the restaurants at the Albert Dock, you missed the Liverpool eye just past the Dock. The Cavern used to be my Monday night haunt. Its changed so much from when i used to go years ago lol!!!
Freaking awesome. Thought you both were doing very well, and the instructor was so attentive to make sure you were in a good position. But then he did his bit…… blooming nora!! Lovely to see the Liver building and the history of the cavern. First LP I got was Please, Please Me - age 7 - that ages me 😲. Still loving music - got tickets for Coldplay in 6 months at Levi Stadium.
Mathew street was the place to be in the 70 ‘ for new wave ! It’s where I used to pogo at Eric’s lol! Saw the stranglers and many more acts , bringing back some nice memories thanks guys ! Stay safe x
I’m a bit older than you but liked some of the punk type groups like The Stranglers and the Buzzcocks. Did Ian Dury ever play there as his band were fantastic and he did a great song about my home town called Billericay Dickie
Great vlog, Liverpool is great, so much to see & do! We loved the Cavern Club too, what history!! The skydiving experience thingy looked interesting too 👍🏻 xx
Only been to Liverpool once as a friend went to uni there so memory is hazy lol but now want to go back following this. I do remember we went to Albert Docks and had a lovely lunch (typical me remembering food!) as wanted to see the This Morning map! This was way back in early noughties though. Didnt realise it wasn't there anymore
That was a great video I would love the sky diving ,,when Nick said I want a cookie was so funny when you guys were heading back to the room lol great video
This is one of my fav vlogs as I went to Liverpool with a group of ladies and we had the best night ever at The Cavern Club after eating a dinner at the restaurant opposite and drinking shots in the Sergeant Peppers Bar before. The Liverpool people are so friendly and remind me of the Irish who love to chat. As we went at night and the club was busy we didn’t get to see all he stuff in the club so I will definitely be back again. Also want to do the Liverbird Tour. When our cruise ship docked there we did a Beatles Tour which went pass all the Beatles homes and to Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. Any US lodgers should go to this city as there is a lot to see.
Never knew you could tour the liver building, and I've lived in Liverpool all my life. Ha ha. This is one of the reasons i watch you, as I always find out new things.
Great vlog again guys. Liverpool looks like an exciting place to visit. I didn’t realise how low rise it is, spotted the Cathedral in the distance. Thanks for taking us with you. 🚢⚓️
Oh wow it was so good to watch you both exploring my home area!!! I've had plenty of drunken nights in the Cavern! Can't believe that I have never done the Liver Building tour! You got the right location for the former This Morning studios by the way. We used to stand and watch Fred jumping over to Ireland on the map in the dock! Great vlog!
I went on a coach trip to your city to see the Terracotta Army exhibition and went to the Cavern that night. Love the people of Liverpool they were so friendly
Haven't been to Cavern Club, good tour round there saved me £5 🤣 Sky diving looked really fun, not easy to keep positioned in there. Didn't realise u could go up the LB building. We saw the map on the Albert Dock the last time we went up there , must have been q good few years ago
Such a shame the original Cavern was demolished for a railway loop to be put in. The original Cavern was directly opposite to the Cavern club you went in.
