@@DannySykessBro it's not made to compete with any superfast bikes. It's made for just simple and fun ride. And yeah it can achieve a top speed of 170kmph.I think that's enough for highway cruise & daily traffic & simple overtakes. But don't worry Royal Enfield is possibly working on a bigger engine, the Royal Enfield "Superconstellation". Stay tuned 😉

obviously this bike is not for power enthusiasts, also why would you risk the reliability by doing any after market mods on engine. having said that, cafe racers are not practical enough for daily commute so a better option would be the interceptor (if you don't like showing off and suffering at the same time) ;)

@Hasandu Kavinda like i said, mods on engine, do you think people who buys cafe racer or bikes like Triumph Bonneville are looking for more power from their bike. simple answer is no, cause if they were looking for power they would have bought anything else. these bikes are more of feel, style and legacy, its how the bike make them feel, not power. i hope you understand now. cheer!! :)

@@mukku1800 i get your point but I used to own Honda CB750 cafe racer and I wouldnt mind for a few extra HP and most cafe racer guys don't buy there bikes from the factory they built em out of vintage Japanese/European bikes

Street cup and street twin, along with sr400 and iron 883 (yamaha bolt) are the american competition. Re has lowest price but also lowest trust in quality.

Newer royal enfields are fully tested especially the 650cc range.You cant go wrong with these.

Sea-level?? In India they are go to bikes when you want to go into the himalayas with broken roads interrupted by shallow rivers. These bikes can take plenty of punishment.

Oh you'd be amazed at how well these Enfield's can take brutal punishment's the single cylinder 350 Enfield is the go-to bike for touring especially for scaling the broken Ladakh roads!(in india)

Except this bike is not as slow as u think. Its as speed as harley 883...check the top speed video of 650 twins, its abt 180 kph which is exact same of harley davidson fat bob and 883

they've already have the same bike with your options, bike has been launched in both versions hence the name Twins ... just type RE Interceptor 650 or RE 650 Twins in google or youtube and see and enjoy .

there ain't no complete classic without spoke wheels, look elsewhere.

RE had an Interceptor in the 60's. Did Honda have it before that? I doubt it.

@@nishitraj. it shouldnt matter...by the time honda started calling the VFR an Interceptor, RE was long bankrupt...so the rights for the name went straight to honda...thats why i asked...

Maybe they are just not allowed to call this bike an Interceptor in the USA maybe? Cuz actually thats pretty much the only place in the world where the VFR is called Interceptor..

Its value for money I say. Price difference between GT and Thruxton is a lot.

wustachemax the new Thruxton looks more like the 535 GT than previous Thruxton lol the piggy back suspension was there on GT 535 so is the slimmer tank shape, monza fuel cap, retro tail section, seat cowl all of these were on the GT535 before the Thruxton

First of all these bikes are nothing like the old ones, you can't even compare them. The old ones were made very cheaply for the cheap indian demographic it had. Those were single cylinder bikes. These are twin cylinder bikes. Plus, This is a brand new bike, brand new chassis, brand new engine built from scratch. Everyone knows the low quality bikes that RE have built in the past but this is different. The ride quality and engine refinement are top notch. There are no vibrations whatsoever since Royal Enfield have installed counter balance mechanisms and all the moto journalists, Indian and alot foreign too vouch for it. Please don't critisize these bikes when you clearly have no idea what they are. Go watch more reviews of these bikes since there are plenty of them as of now and do your research. 🙂
