PowerDrift they should have used brembo brakes and led for lights for mordern touch...looks cool but also looks very similar to the Bonneville serise

Continental Gt is all about retro so led lights are off the table. Agree with you on brembo though. And yes looks similar to Bonnie but th pricing and engine capacity is where it differentiates in between. 650 cc vs 800 or 1200cc bonnie. Its about time RE launched a proper cafe racer cus Bonnie was the only option (Cough.....Scrambler.....Cough) till date and was really expensive because of taxes. Lets hope for the better. Exactly! When it comes to RE and KTM, avoid the first batch! Both companies use customers as guinea pigs.

When it comes to any machine avoid the first year's production, but a sensible manufacturer can use the warranty period to rectify initial errors to the customer's satisfaction. I bought the first-year (2014) model Harley-Davidson Street 750. No problems but poor assembly (after all, the bike is manufactured in India) on the front forks and some switchgear. All fixed under Harley's 2-year unlimited-mileage warranty. If Enfield want to compete with the best, they need to produce the best quality in the world, for they have to compete with Harley and Indian, the Italians and BMW, and the Japanese giants: all established names of deep repute and aspirational value. Royal Enfield even in its heyday was a poor cousin to Norton, Triumph and BSA. RE will have to produce genius to make a name for itself in the world as a twin-cylinder maker. Of course, in India, as long as the bike is priced low, it will gain a mass following.

Himalayan was a cheap product.....I personally hate that bike when it comes to riding on highways...its best for city's pothole filled roads. I think they must've done a good job with the 650.

Do not forget street 750 twin is also technically failed. Thousandss of customers in pune mumbai and lots of other cities protested against Harley Davidson for its poor after sales service and 750s spare quality.

Gautam Sabris - sure you have the right to your opinions but here's some facts for you....900cc pumping out only 55 BHP is less than a 650 pumping out 47BHP! The RE has slipper clutch and ABS and you've tested the RE to know it's less quality? The RE is designed by EX Triumph designer and made in the UK more than can be said for the Street Twin, Triumph stopped making bikes in the UK over a decade ago. Facts before fiction....my friend.

Khullas Saand, Personally, i don't think either of the 2 bikes are going to be very popular, RE should have at least made one of the bikes a cruiser model or a souped up version of the legendary bullet, instead they re-did the least selling cafe racer and a classy old interceptor not to mention a cruiser will be much more comfortable for the rider and the pillion than an interceptor.
