Looks good! I went for the same system on my Interceptor but with Street (2020) bags. Cost a bit less and have dry bag inners . You can also lock them, albeit with a padlock. Your choice probably suits the style of the bike better though. Note once assembled the cbow brackets only take 5 mins to remove. Top quality though, best solution for the Interceptor I could find and believe me I did some research 🧐 🙂
@@WildlifeMoto yes they are, 16ltrs each and nearer in size to the large legacy bags. I had the scorpion red power silencers though which are smaller. Matched them with an SW Motech 650 dry bag which made for a good setup.
Great video and quality pannier set-up. For the price the shoulder straps and waterproof covers should definitely come with them (as do the Trip Machine panniers). Pros and cons are that trip machine do have the fiddly straps which go under the seat to deal with but after saying that, once on I’m pretty much the same as yourself in that I keep them on anyway!
As always, really informative, so thank you. Having seen this, I'm thinking of the Hepco & Becker large saddle bags for my Interceptor. The large ones seem to be 7cm longer in-depth than the medium ones that you have fitted. I have exactly the same exhaust cans as you (Scorpions). Stock suspension. Not sure if the large might be a bit too "long" and touch the exhaust? Would really welcome your informal (not to be relied upon 🤣) opinion. Many thanks and much appreciated. Justin
€1000+ for 2 medium bags and the mounting brackets! Thats just insane. I'll keep the €50 rucksack for now me thinks, and use the money for some Brembo rear shocks and YSS fork springs.
What do you mean getting wet or to grippy? Trip Machine needs to bring out that water proof cover. They're taking their time with it. A handheld steam cleaner will clean it up mint.
It will be interesting to see how the large duffle bag looks with these pannier bags. Would luxury hotels allow you to wheel your loaded bike into the elevator and down the hall to your room? :-)
Could you please help me better understand the capacity of those bags ? Can you fit in a reflex ? or a pair of shoes & pants for office work ? At 290€ one bag, + shoulder strap + rain cover, i'd like it to be useful, not only beautiful (which it is). Also after a few months, would you still say it's well built, and waterproof ? thanks
Drop me a note wildlifemoto@gmail.com and I’ll shoot you some photos. These are holding out very well so far. German build quality as you’d expect. You could get a pair of trainers in here (might need to flatten them slightly). Jeans and a shirt shouldn’t be a problem either. They are not big bags but should be fine for a weekend away. I add the trip machine duffel bag on the back seat if I need to hold loads of stuff. If it’s going to rain I bring my Kreiga rack pack.

Next year I am swapping my interceptor for the super meteor, this bike isn’t for touring at all.
I’ve had these on the bike for a year and they still look brand new. Every now and then a give the leather a once over with a conditioner and it does the job.
