The royal enfield super meteor 650 Interstellar varient is a highway muncher , a long trip riding expert and a super cruiser . I prefer Interstellar model over this astral model. 4:05 that exhaust note of the super meteor roars very well
If RE can give 650cc twin cylinder bike under 3.5lakhs what stopping other brands to do this? I guess an old school air cooled twin like this wouldn't be difficult or costly to make even for less experienced brands like bajaj, hero and tvs.
Soon Bajaj will make Ktm dual cylinders in India. They will be affordable as compared to rest of world. But dont expect RE pricing because Ktm's dont cut corners. They give it all at a premium. So a twin sportsbike can be expected from Bajaj in future. Also they managing Triumph now so Sky is the limit. Good news for Indians 😀
The heavy clutch of Interceptor 650 fixed the strength difference between my right and left hands. And 60kph does really seem like a very slow speed on it. Most roads in Himachal have fairly low speed limits like 30kph - 40kph and that wasn't an issue because there was nobody to implement those. Now, it's a different story. In my small, really small town they've installed speed cameras everywhere, no traffic management systems like lanes or lights, but speed cameras. The fact that people like me kept on going 140-150kph didn't help but 60kph feels really slow on the Interceptor, feels fast on Tiago, feels acceptable on Honda City, feels dangerous on Maruti 800 but, feels too slow on the Interceptor 650. 80-90kph feels perfect and at 120 the wind's too strong. RE did a really good job with 650s. It took a while but Interceptor is my daily ride now, even ditched the scooter and ditched the car during rain, engine gets pretty hot to keep me warm. RE 650s, probably the best bikes to come out of India, could have been lighter though.
Speed cameras probably because of the spurt of these new breed of superbike youtubers from Uttarakhand and Himachal. I am sure you're aware of the recent death of the Agastay Chauhan incident. They somehow want to control it.
@@sidddddddddddddd yea, even in my small remote town people own big bikes like Triumph Rocket 3 and most of big bike owners are college students. I'm 30 and I feel like a chapri riding a bike in these parts. Earlier chapris used to ignore wearing riding gear now a different breed of chapris with money is out. They wear expensive gear, expensive helmets and ride expensive bikes really fast and they call themselves "Pro Riders". And it is sad to see these kinds of bikers getting attention from children and children aspire to be like them. And we also have chapris in big SUVs and Maruti 800s and Altos. Basically the traffic situation is effed up and now nobody can enjoy a ride. You mind your own business riding at 60-70kph and these chapris will constantly honk at your tail and try to overtake you dangerously.
Owning GT650 for past 2.5 years and bike is just phenomenal as a cafe racer and this engine is more capable! No complaints and its a great one but wait seriously frustrated with RE service, even in company outlet service centre! They r really bad and screws the good Motorcycles
Yess this bike is carzy about it's ride quality . I just bought it like a month ago , till now good response . The only thing i dislike about it is it's heat coming out from engine which feels at foot. This bike is the best from Royal Enfield till now. Please let me know if nearby RE showroom in pune who got accessories.
they are doing this the correct way by exploiting the beginner retro segment gap left by harley trimph honda and all other and now has first mover advantage

I want to gift my son a bike on his birthday and im confused between super meteor 650 or kawasaki ninja 400 & he already owns a duke 250 as i dont have much idea please suggest me one which will be better
No tachometer in a 650. Thanks to god that he gave me the smartness of selling my Enfield. Had he given me that earlier, I wouldn't have bought one at the first place.

ROYAL ENFIELD official openly said that it's only meant for highway cruising... India is getting many express long highways to enjoy this type of motorcycle.... I think it was EICMA interview... Watch it.. He even said they wanted low ground clearance to make sure this product is true to it's nature...
Itni bhi kam nahi hai.. real life me kahi bhi touch nahi hoti normally.. haan wo alag baat hai k tum ise bahut hi zyada buri aur kharab roads par leke jaate ho.. ya kahi khet ke beech me chala rahe... warna to himachal Uttarakhand sab jagah ghum aaye hum.. kabhi kahi touch nahi hui.. yamuna expressway, agra Lucknow expressway waghaira sab cross kiye.. makkhan keh lo.. chipak ke chalti hai road se.. stability feel hoti hai..🔥🔥
IMO, the only thing that makes the bike look cheap is that console. They could've done the twin pod setup or just a single circular dial like a Harley. The tripper looks just out of place in such a classic design bike. That's my only gripe with this bike.
Today i missed my route and accidentally i reached near Jio/ Bp petrol pump near to the palm beach and then i recalled that FK shoots his video here 😂😊
😎 I sold my HD Fatboy and bought two RE SM 650. One for me and one for my wife. Almost two for the price of one. 😉 Tomorrow we are going to pick them up.
