Royal Gorge Bridge 

One of the best places I have ever been too.. The view was spectacular... Amazing!!!

How in the hell did they build that bridge, put it together?

I remember the old tram,it was sqeeky and scary. they never had a visitors center,playland or other stuff. Tourist trap for sure. The Bridge and incline train was the only thing they had there as well as a KOA campground,I think that burned in the fire. I dont see how anything could burn there but it did.

This is a really well done commercial, and the park is nice for tourists who want family oriented attractions, but the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park has to be more breath-taking (although I've never been there) because it's about 2,700 feet deep at one viewpoint, and far deeper than RG at most viewing places. Still, RG is pretty awesome. I just wish they could find a way to re-build the train to the bottom of the gorge. That was great fun.

Have a look at the 4:00 mark. Now imagine the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. Yes, the bridge is about the same height over the river, as the floors that many sadly had to jump from after the 9-11 terrorist attacks. The zip-line is about the height that those on the top floors of the WTC towers fell, during the collapse. If you go to the Royal Gorge Bridge, look over the side and just try to comprehend what happened so many years ago, to too many innocent people. It is mind-boggling! It's a shame that bridge is no longer enough of a draw. Now, there is a kiddie playground and skycoaster. Does everything have to be like Disneyland in order for people to visit? What a shame. I'll remember it the way that it was, before the fire.
