He started from reacting to Clean House to finishing Modern Warfare 2. Time is really fast. Edit: The 30,000 US Marines that died from the nuke in the last game were all under General Shepherd's command. When General Shepherd sent PFC Allen to the airport with Makarov, he told Makarov that Allen was undercover which is how Makarov knew. Shepherd wanted to cause WWIII and he wanted to be a war hero. Since him and Task Force 141 were the only ones who knew that the airport was Makarov's op, Shepherd had to take them out. When he tasked Ghost and Roach to retrieve the DSM from Makarov's safehouse, that contained all of Makarov's plans and the airport massacre. He then killed Roach and Ghost to cover the risk of that intel being leaked to the public. Ghost and Roach were one of the loose ends that Shepherd was tying. Soap and Price are now the most wanted criminals in the world after killing General Shepherd, who was already known as a war hero. Task Force 141 is then Disavowed.

Hey Luke, in case you need clarification, here’s why Shepard betrays you: Shepard wanted to become a hero, and he thought the only way to do it was to win a war. He send Allen to his death, in hopes of starting a war. Makarov knee that Allen was American the whole time. That info was in the D.S.M. Shepard killed you and took the D.S.M. To tie up loose ends, hence the mission name.

You can actually keep Ozone and Scarecrow alive in the mission loose ends by being on top of every call out they give you, its make getting to the LZ a lot easier but unfortunately they still end up dying on the way there.

I really wanted you to look at the museum I though it put you in there after the credits but apparently not. The museum has a lot of Easter eggs and you get to appreciate price’s bald spot without him running away. It’s really fun to mess around in.
