I was also in Afghanistan with my girlfriend in 1972 doing the trail. From Kandahar we went down to Quetta in Parkistan. No way did we get the impression that it was idealic. There was a very restless tension in the air that something was going to happen. And of course it did.

@ Blissifi3d- I know EXACTLY how you feel man. I too am Canadian and you're not alone in wanting to join. I have nothing but respect for these soldiers. These are hard dudes and I would be proud to be fighting along with them. My hats off to the men and women of not only our military but in every military unit fighting for their respective countries.
I'm hoping to join up myself. Ether as a Sniper or a mechanic, and yes I am Canadian too :) I have the utmost respect for the soldiers fighting in this war, I don't care what flag they fight under I solute them all equally.

Every time I watch these documentaries I feel I become part of each and every soldier and when I hear or see a fallen one, I cry and pain shoots thru my heart as if i knew them personally. I guess that's the part of being human! To ALL that served, the ones that made it home, and the ones that died fighting, thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God have the best seats for you in Heaven!
these soldiers are so young and eventually young if not lucky. but they did an excellent job in helping those people back in their village by diffusing IED. it is truly remarkable. they deserved more than enough. just pity with those local farmers and their family where they can be in danger any second. children out of school when they deserved the right to education. salute you all guys for your bravery and determination.
Fucking hell. The ending hit me like a train. Unreal what these guys went through. I don't wanna think about if it was worth it or not. I just have the upmost respect for these guys and I'm humbled by these videos. May the sacrifice all of these men made, but especially those who got injured or killed over there, never be forgotten.

Hey, I live in India, Salute the work you guyz are doin, its just unconditional love. Just one reservation ! spare those partners who cant take these pressure don't abuse them, remember not many can take this kind of pressure including many men who came to join the Marine and never qualified. As a Yank, I have to ask who takes 'tea time' more seriously-the British or Afghans? It makes me wonder if the Afghans worked better with the Brits than us Americans considering the mutual love of tea. As a kid I remember a 101st Airborne veteran telling me how one could set a watch to British tea time, along with the Germans always shelling specifically at this time.
