Hi, thank you for your video. Meanwhile, could you please make a video about how to remove the carriage of Royal portable? Preferrably a Futura 800? Thanks.

On my QDL the draw band goes up into the carriage and down out of that last hole and hooks over the nub. Is it backwards?

I watched. I will see what I have that might be "Narrower" than the Coat Hanger. The winding is the hard part for me. Wish me Good Fortune.

Very helpful video! Check out a sewing tool called a loop turner. They're inexpensive and might make a good replacement for your hook.
