@tonmy cas tl:dr save those comments for a buzzfeed video, dont be stupid, stupid. The word history is ultimately from the Proto-Indo-European *wid-tor-, from the root *weid-, "to know, to see". The Ancient Greek word ἱστορία, istoría, means "knowledge acquired by investigation, inquiry". This is the sense in which it is used by Aristotle in his Περί Τά Ζωα Ιστορία, Peri Ta Zoa Istória or, in Latinized form, Historia Animalium.[1] The term is derived from ἵστωρ, hístōr meaning wise man, witness, or judge. We can see early attestations of ἵστωρ in Homeric hymns, Heraclitus, the Athenian ephebes' oath, and in Boiotic inscriptions (in a legal sense, either "judge" or "witness," or similar). The spirant is problematic, and not present in cognate Greek eídomai ("to appear"). The form historeîn, "to inquire", is an Ionic derivation, which spread first in Classical Greece and ultimately over all of Hellenistic civilization. mystery is from Middle English mysterie, from Anglo-Norman misterie (Old French mistere), from Latin mysterium, from Ancient Greek μυστήριον (mustḗrion, “a mystery, a secret, a secret rite”), from μύστης (mústēs, “initiated one”), from μυέω (muéō, “I initiate”), from μύω (múō, “I shut”). dont be stupid, stupid

DNA only can prove so much meaning that they can say it iis her DNA but it in truth it could be that of her siblings still. We will never really know, no matter how much science is used bc her siblings all shared the same DNA. It will still take years and years of technology to even separate the siblings DNA after being buried for so long. Rumors are sometimes truths and vice versa. If she did survive why would she even come forward knowing her life is in danger and let alone that of her family’s life now. We will never really know. It’s a mystery and humanity likes to say they know everything even things that are straight forward in their eyes they like to say this happened bc of this. In truth we will never really know bc to much is missing.

While it is true that now most historians consider that the whole family was murdered on that night, there is also another interesting 'theory' that Anastasia and her brother actually managed to escape. It is thought, according to this theory, that they were swapped with doubles and after bordering the last ship from Odessa and many struggles along the way, they arrived in Bulgaria and lived the rest of their lives in a small village called Gabarevo under the guise of Eleonora Kruger and Georgi Judin/ Zhudin. What makes this theory more interesting than the others is the fact that neither of these two individuals ever expressed any claim whatsoever to be the royal children. Instead, due to the intriguing and mysterious circumstances around their arrival and carefully guarded past, it was the villagers who suspected that these two people could have been part of the Russian royal family. Although it might not be true, it is an interesting theory which deserves to atleast be looked at. :)

What's fascinating is that not only do the Romanovs survive as an extended family, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church has apparently designated one of them, Maria, as the first in line to the throne should Russia ever bring back the monarchy in a constitutional form. Over 25% of the people polled I think said they would right now vote to bring it back, with a significant percentage more saying they wouldn't entirely rule out supporting such a move in the future.

A great fortune awaited the heir to the Romanovs and there would be those evil minions who would prevent the likelihood of a survivor. Was the DNA test legitimate? Was the discovery of Anastasia and her brother really true or created to close the book of possibilities? Will we ever know?

It is strange to me that the skeleton in the second grave is incomplete. Oddly, Anna Anderson had the same malformed foot as Anastasia, and she looked so eerily like her. It is strange that she was able to convince even part of her family and close friends. It is strange that she knew about things that an ordinary mortal, especially a Polish worker, would not know. Odd that she had marks on bayonets and bullets. It is strange that one of these criminals until the end of his life claimed that he helped her and she survived. Let's take the times into account. How did the Polish worker end up in the USA without history? It is a conspiracy theory, but it could be that someone would be anxious to convince people that, if the remains are found, that the fourth of his sisters is buried with Alexei

I wasn't expecting that. I wanted to know how Anastasia escaped, not how she died. And why kill all the kids anyway? I get the only son, and the fact he could retake the throne. But four girls of the same family? They couldn't carry the name if they got married and they were children. I hate when innocent people are treated like that because they're royalty or political or something like that and in actuality they did nothing wrong.
@kellyolson7083

It’s simple. They couldn’t risk any of the children surviving and taking back the throne. Sad, the whole family killed. No one knew what happened to any of them for decades. They were all murdered together that night.

No matter what, killing of innocent people is really bad. Those people who shot them brutally had no moral compass for sure... They don't mind if the victims are unarmed or not. Tsar Nicholas might be a irresponsible, indifferent and an awful leader. And I don't like him for that reason. But it cannot be justified. Why didn't they just dethrown the whole royal family instead? Or just force them to work on the farm to serve the hungry people...That is much better that killing unarmed people. Especially Alexei...He had hemophillia and they still killed him brutally... Though even he suvived the shooting, it's the same. He will lost lots of blood. 😢

They did a really good job and beautiful colored pictures. Absolutely beautiful family. When Lenin went scorched earth he could not allow anyone to survive, him, Stalin, or Trotsky. I can tell you one thing. Even if their theory of Alexi being alive after the shooting and stabbing of the Romanov's was true, If he has been injured he would've died since he had hemophilia. And Anastasia is still thought to have lived. But if she lived then where are her descendants? And why not return to her home years later to try to restore the Romanov throne for her future children? I truly believe Anastasia did die. Just maybe not in that bunker they were kept in.
@lalalalalalwlla
@lalalalalalwlla 2 года назад
1) If Anastasia had children she would probably not tell them who she is to protect them. Bolshevics would definitely track her down and kill them all if they knew she was still alive. 2) Why not return home and restore the Romanov throne for her children? She wouldn't be able as women couldn't get the throne unless all male dynasts were dead. Her children wouldn't even be in line to the throne if she married morganatically (some who is not royal). Because of those reasons no one would fight for her to get the throne. I believe she died in 1918, if she didn't die in the bunker, she definitely died while they were transported to the forest where they were buried.

Anastasia's personality is blown way out of proportion here, as is Yurovsky's title and some minor details such as who devised the idea for the jewels in their corsets. The History Channel really had fun messing with this story. Try the Robert K Massie or Radvinsky books, they are much more realistic. Also, they were exhumed from the mine and buried in the Kopatkyi Forrest several days after the execution. A lot of inaccurate info here
