Royal Tiger Imports or RTI still has M91 Carcano Cavalry Carbines available, and I unbox one from their very good to excellent rating that I recently purchased.
It looks like the surplus warehouses full of these little carbines are about empty, as most vendors no longer have them available.

Just found your channel, and yes I too bought the same rifle from R.T.I. mine is in beautiful condition and the bore is good. I'm very happy with my Carcano

Looks like one from the Italian cache. Rti got some of those in too. Ethiopian ones are usually much rougher

Got a first year production from RTI (first purchase) and was in better condition than this one. I’m very grateful for that.

I inherited a carcano that was seized in ww2 in Italy and a bring back in immaculate cond. Ammo is hard to find unless you reload your own as i do. Nice finds only stocks are a little rough

You can get ammunition from Norma and Privi Partizan. Both make limited runs. Norma still produces the correct bottle nose bullet. PPU makes a Spitzer style bullet that is undersized diameter .

DKfirearms still have a few M91s with the bayonet available, they sold out of the TS versions

RTI has stepped up their game. ordered a(Ethiopian) m48 last Xmas and was amazed how fast it shipped.the filthiest object I have ever seen, but the # all match. Adventures in Surplus, right?

That’s good. I’ve seen those m48s in their emails and had considered one. You never really know exactly what you’ll get when going for surplus like that.

As some comments stated this one came from the Italian cache vs Ethiopia. I have gotten a few from different vendors including RTI. They are worth the price, shoot well, and I feel they will be worth much more in the years to come.

Hi,... thanks for the carcano video 2,0, I got mine about a year ago from Classic Firearms @269. Have not shot it yet, have no ammo or the en block clip needed to load.... any suggestions on where to find these? thanks.

They did dry up pretty quickly since so many carcanos came into the US at once and when you find them, prices have definitely gone up. gunpartscorp.com has some en bloc clips for sale right now. Ammoseek may help to find the ammo. There is also ebay for the clips and they sell/have plans for a 3D printed insert that lets you shoot single rounds. Other than that, I've found some at gun shows over the last year. Don't hand load single shots if you can't get a clip but get ammo, as that puts extra stress on the extractor and can break it. The 3D printed insert helps it feed normally and will prevent that extra stress.

It’s pretty smooth already and I haven’t even taken it apart for a good cleaning. I’m sure once I finish cleaning it will even be a bit smoother

@@GearyGunderson You know thoughs bolts need to be fitted to the rifle and some of the rifles coming from them are really stiff and not smooth.. that's why i asked. THX and great video that you make.

I got an RTI Calvary Carcano. they were a bit over estimation of the condition saying it was VG is a pretty big stretch of the imagination, but it's a solid shooter for $200 so can't say I'm disappointed. would like to get a nicer one, might call and talk to them and order over the phone if I decide to get another. I'm wanting to take the bayonet off and make it a handy little deer rifle which the one they sent me will do nicely for that, but I would like one higher quality for the collection.
