I'm so grateful to have found this by chance today... brings me to tears, hard to explain but will try. The kindness generosity and respect of all these lovely Islanders for Prince William (now actual heir to the British throne) & Princess Catherine, so many coming to greet them in cold? wet weather. It's like a beautiful Story, of simpler times, while also a hugely generous and truly Magical welcome! I grew up in one of the old Colonies, so it must be some nostalgia that makes me sad & happy at the same time. I so admire these delightful People, and pray the Ocean will spare them the damage we "civilized" nations are doing to the beautiful Islands the future King and Queen have visited. Tuvalu, a wonderful nation! I visited the nation recently (July 2019) and I am so impressed of the hospitality, friendliness and humbleness of the people. Despite of what has been happening to the island atolls (rising the the sea water, salt water intrusion, limited supply of freshwater and lack of food), I salute the Tuvaluans of their resiliency! I pray for Tuvalu as a nation and for the people! I was in Kiribati in Dec. 2018 and the same situation exists. Let's think globally and act locally in every we do that will adversely affect the global climate and the environment.
A very special moment for all tuvaluans scattered around our globe ❤️ The singing and dancing just uplifts the whole occasion and it kind of gave me goosebumps ❤️ Reminds me of all the ladies and men who enjoy singing back home in the Cook Islands
I have never heard of this country till today. I am a traditionalist and I love traditions and cultures , I wouldn't mind visiting to experience the culture. I loved the traditional songs and dance
It was highly refreshing to learn there exists the tuvalun version of the Royal Anthem. The Tuvaluans have made their former colonial overlord completely their institution.
Pour combien de temps et pour quelle raison des peuples fussent -ils pauvres devront continuer de porter d'autres humains comme eux ! Les pratiques imposées par les occidentaux dans leurs colonies. C'est dégueulasse, dégradant, et désespérément inhumain.
