Love the bracelet idea they had! We left our room key in the room about 3 times 😅I think a balcony is a must have with any beach front resort! I'm so glad we upgraded our room to include one, it was a game changer
The bracelet idea for a room key was seriously so smart! Every time we left the room I thought we were missing our room key but in the end, it was nice not having to worry about a room key! I cant wait to see the resort you guys stayed at and the view from your balcony!
Just left from there yesterday. I went with the diamond club option and stayed 5 days. Loved the food at the steak place and the spot where you can get them to cook the pasta and hibachi for lunch. Definitely coming back
What was your thoughts on the diamond club? Do you think it was worth the extra money? We decided against it but I’m just wondering what all the extra bonuses are for upgrading to diamond club.
@@TheWanderfulLifeofKayla definitely DEFINITELY well worth it. Faster check in, 24hr butler, priority reservations and seating, private section on the beach with pool and sitting area, 1pm check out time, access to the rooftop loung....well worth it for the money 💰
@@robertsmith20022 When I was there, there was more people in the diamond club pool then the main pool. We also had access to the rooftop lounge. Check out time for us didn’t matter as we had a 2pm flight. And check in was fast for us. But I can see how all of that would be a selling point! I am glad you enjoyed your time there as much as we did!
@@TheWanderfulLifeofKayla you got lucky. When we get there. Check in for everyone else was around an hour, people were waiting all in the lobby and outside the drive up area. Those who didn’t have diamond club didn’t have access to the rooftop. Might not opt for it next time then lol
@@robertsmith20022 oh that’s weird. Bc on the website it also says all Royalton guests have access to the rooftop. Weird. Either way it was a beautiful resort.
The shower was what I was excited for but it was an epic fail sadly 🥲 The water pressure was so bad and it was so hard to control the hot/cold. Such a shame but the ocean view made up for it!
I love all inclusive vacations they definitely are the way to go. I feel you get a lot for you're money with all inclusive that room and that bathroom is gorgeous can't wait for my next vacation won't be until October but I'm getting excited.
As much as I love adventures, an all-inclusive is nice! It allows you to relax and not have to plan anything, which was much needed after the year we just had! Where are you headed to in October?
@@TheWanderfulLifeofKayla I'm heading to Athens, Santorini, Mykonos and Crete if all goes well I'm hoping I've been post postponing this trip since May 2020.
I'm about to book my vacation to Royalton Chic very soon. The room options that I have are sunset view with diamond club and ocean view without diamond club. Which one would you advise based on your experience? Does diamond club worth loosing the ocean view room?
So the Diamond Club does offer several upgrades such as spa discounts, nightly turn down service, and they have their own pool and lounge access. With that being said, they were offering massive discounts on the Diamond Club upgrade upon check in at the hotel. So if it is something you are considering, you can upgrade when you get there. So if you want the ocean view, then I would book the ocean view without and upgrade upon arrival. Just note that a LOT of people were upgrading when we were there and the Diamond Club pool always had way too many people in there. In fact the normal pool had like no one in it compared to the Diamond Club. We opted not to upgrade because I simply didn't feel like it was worth it. We had a fabulous time without it. And we also spent some time outside of the resort as well. So there is a lot to consider. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out, I have TONS of videos coming from my stay at the Royalton, as well as a day trip to Isla Mujeres coming your way!
The view is beautiful!! Do you know which room you were in? Looking to book for Dec 2022. Also, was the room noisy? I've seen a few reviews that mentioned it was noisy so just curious.
Thank you so much! No you could not stream Netflix on the TV. I know this because the one time we did turn on the TV, there was not much to choose from and we tried to stream netflix but could not figure it out. Are you heading to the Royalton soon? Or are you planning a trip to Mexico?
So the hotel does offer a service through a third party on their website but there are so many options to get to the resort. I booked with Delta Vacations so our shuttle was included. But once you get out of the airport, there are several modes of transportation into the hotel zone: taxis, shuttle services and local buses. The bus is CHEAP, takes you right to the hotel zone with a stop one resort down from the Royalton. So I think it just depends how you want to get there and your budget! Are you heading to the Royalton soon?
No we did not. There were so many food options that we wanted to try and we were only there for 5 days. If we stayed a day or two longer we would have. Sorry, wish I could be of more help!
Hi Kayla, do you have to do anything when you got back to the US? we would love to go to Cancun but worry if we have to do anything on the way back. Thank you!!
As of now, the US is requiring a negative covid PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival. If you stay at the Royalton Chic Suites Cancun, they provide complimentary tests for guests, which takes the stress out of it!
The food was pretty good. Wasn’t the best I ever had but also wasn’t the worst if that makes sense. We did a day trip to Isla Mujeres. If you subscribe, I have a bunch of videos coming up that highlights the resort as well as what we did in Cancun. If you have any other questions regarding the resort or what to do, don’t hesitate to reach out!
How much did it cost to upgrade to the diamond club? It is funny because I saw some other videos confirmed what you were saying and the diamond club pool was packed and the regular pool looked the same and had no one in it LOL. If the upgrade is just to get a different pool definitely not worth it.
I want to say the diamond upgrade was $50 per person per day. To me that wasn’t worth it. We didn’t notice any lack of service or amenities without the diamond upgrade. I know most upgraded because of the pool. They really sold the pool with butler service but honestly that area looked overcrowded. You can watch some of my other videos that I have on my channel and you will see, the beach and pool area on the non diamond club side was empty. One day we basically had the pool to ourselves.
The way that the resort is situated, all of the ocean view rooms have an unobstructed beautiful view of the ocean. The resort only offers lagoon or ocean view rooms. So trust me when I say, you will NOT be disappointed in the room. If you want to see all the views of the resort, check out my resort tour/walkthrough video here 👉🏼 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tUEOcMKKfm4.html 👈🏼 I hope this helped you decide! You will have such a great time!
I am unsure. I do not know what they other rooms look like as I only stayed in the Junior Suite. I would assume it would be in one of the presidential suites. I would check out their website if you are looking for a room with a jacuzzi. They have all of their rooms indicated on their website!
