AllHipHop's Chuck "Jigsaw" Creekmur talked to the legendary Royce Da 5'9" and DJ Premier (PRhyme) about a myriad of topic around Hip-Hop as well as why the super group Slaughter House just didn't work out.
I never heard of your channel before but a HOUR long interview with ROYCE?? Dude speaks nothing but truth I love his interviews, huge props for this guys
Well between Royce's IG page, Crooks IG page and Joe Budden's platform it seems obvious to me - Joe doesn't want to rap signed to a label like Shady and Royce doesn't want to turn his back on the Shady deal and that is why Slaughterhouse is not rapping. I support them both, but I agree with Joe, the music is better without Shady, that Shady album was the worst one they put out, Shady had the wrong beats and the wrong marketing. I appreciate loyalty but if Em was loyal to Royce he'd release them from that deal.
Lmao when 50 and g unit wanted to leave ,em never hold em back ,if slaughterhouse wanted to leave shady believe me it won't be no beef,i mean look how 50 talks about em till today,he even came to help em out in cochella,it's all love, but when slaughterhouse signed to shady they said they were sick of being underdogs, they wanted to go mainstream,so em gave them the beats to do so,if their original beats were working for them they would've never signed for shady records in the first place, right?
I agree. Royce downfall has been his loyalty to Em. Joe loyalty has been to best business practice for artist. They all should get in a room and iron out thr details and make history. I'm sure the group could clear 100 million in a year touring. They'll have to make some compromises but if they really want to make it work it will take time. I don't know if the other group members understand their potential as much as Joe does.
ToroidalVortexLove when you say shady do u mean Em or the label? Because the project was 1st released on shady & both LP’s were dope. Now I could understand is as Em not fitting into the group as a whole, & that’s fine, I never viewed Em as a member of SlaughterHouse, he just was featured on a few of their tracks.
I’m my mind is makes perfect sense for Slaughthouse to be signed to Shady Records. Everyone over there is a ducking beast!!! Plan & simple. Crooked bounce because they not rapping that’s all it is to it, not because of the business or anything like that. He just wants to Rap. Joell is the same, Royce is keeping busy with its work in general. Joe Budden!!! That’s in my mind is the problem. Joe is good but he always been the weakest link. He don’t wanna rap, he wants to be a fucking reporter, a pod cast host.
Exactly!!!...Which gave them "commercial success"..and that is what ultimately hurt the group! A group that lyrical and hiphop oriented isn't made to make radio friendly songs with little cute white girls singing the choruses.. smh
Crypto Pantz sounds like em specifically. Commercial records for slaughterhouse? What the fuck? Nobody wants to hear that bullshit from those guys. They want good authentic music not some cherry picked pop records.
Ruffsecs yeah but the shady formula is to build everything like if it was slim shady. That's why besides 50 nothing has worked. Its a graveyard for great artists who never got to release their work
Royce already released prhyme 2,and will release book of rayan like this week ,glass house is nowhere to be found but royce still going to release something else that he can't really talk about? Bad meets evil 2 soon ,man I'm telling u
Slaughterhouse was trash from the get-go. LOL at people thinking that shit was gonna work. You take 3 borderline trash rappers and one has-his-moments rapper (Royce), add them together and sign them to the king of mediocrity, Eminem. The fuck did people think was gonna happen? DEAD
