I was a Junior/Senior in HS when this released and I discovered Drag Race shortly after Season 1 aired. This was my first full season and I just fell in love with the show and what it stood for. When I got bullied in school, it was pretty rough. I was the only black kid, in a suburban school who got teased daily, because the kids thought my corn-rows made me look like a girl. You are absolutely right. It's refreshing to see a runway with non-designer outfits. You know here in the Philippines there are too many amazing and talented dragqueens, but even I, were afraid to join because it was like a gamble were you invest your life-long savings (which were money hardly earn from your gigs) just to be read by the judges, the viewers and the netizens. It's very sad and ironic. Like, you join to win money but it was like a casino. The show is not a competition anymore but a comedy show and a fashion designing competition. Well, for some with those who have unlucky life and infamous names may be will be remained underated because of money issue. Just like education. Its expensive. Some of the uneducated became drag queens because they dont have money. Then the spotlight also goes to the queens with the ones who have already earning money. Well life is unfair. So is drag. I do feel like the only opinions I've heard of tyra is very much like Sharon needles. They really loved them and thought they were evidently THE ONE on their season and that they are amazing drag but their personal opinions get in the way of being able to celebrate them. It's not even difference of opinion it just is that they seem harmful to others. It's too bad. Tyra also gets hate from the Tatiana fans and the raven fans. I don't think that is fair and that those fans are being toxic. Poor tyra though. I hope there can be a happy medium for them to possibly return.

I just wished some LGTQ people stopped being so hyper fixated on trying to mock God (Nina West’s dress was not the trailblazer move she thought it would have been + it didn’t even look good). Like it is not cool when Christians are homophobic and out of line, but I am a believer that you cannot fight fire with fire. Generalizations are not ok (meaning not all Christians are bad and not all LGBTQ+ are good) and some queer people are actually believers and that should be respected. What happened to respect, allowing others make their own choices and staying on your lane?
