I've been running one of your earlier ignition amplifiers for about 20 years on my 3.5. The one regular failure point has been the two plugs which shove into socket on the side of the distributor. These are exposed to the weather and get dirty and corroded.

Hi, Thanks for your comment. Yes I have had a couple of people mention this recently so its on my list of things to develop. I think a 3D printer should allow us to make something that would plug in an seal. Its not a common issue though I think it depends on the environment the car is used in. We have also modified a couple of dizzies in the past to have a two pin plug on the outside for a better connection.

@@RPIEngineering It would make for a much more secure connection if you could create a proper fitting. I'm currently thinking of adapting the original on-distributor ignition amp to act as a plug.

I think you should told us what the voltage at the coil is when cranking the engine is 9.5volts acceptable?

We are doing a full ignition kit install where we cover far more this was just a simple quick video from years ago. However yes 9.5 volts on cranking is fine.

Hi, im daniele. I have restored a 3.5 engine, but at the First start, i listen an esplosion on the air collector. I supposed an incorrectly spinterogeno position. For you what is?

Hi, Yes it most likely is incorrect ignition timing. Turn the engine to TDC on the firing stroke and then make sure that the rotor arm is pointing to number 1 plug lead.
