“This is The Leader, and this is Newswatch Junior Edition.” Every time a show was introduced, the voiceover began with “This is The Leader” followed by whatever show would be on.
Agree with Brig. For 90s kids, 5 & Up and Chikiting Patrol were the junior news shows. In the 2000s, RpN aired Jr. NEWS with Miguel Sarne and eventually revive Junior Newswatch.
TV Patrol would launch a similar version in the early 90s with Doland Castro as one of its trainees. Also, 5 and Up and Chikiting patrol are the investigative versions of this format.
Another gem from UndustFixation! As a Gen Z person, I highly appreciate what are '80s television shows with ads look like. ❤ More power po and napabilang na po as part of UF's "Notification Squad!" 11:10 - Birch Tree Milk, which was I first heard on Dante's Enigmatic World's radio recording of DWTM 😮
FINALLY, WHAT USED TO BE MY 5-YEAR OLD SELF HAS PARTIALLY RESURFACE AGAIN ONCE MORE. I SAW A SHORTENED VERSION OF THE RPN-9, THE LEADER STATION IDENT (BOY I WISHED YOU HAVE A COMPLETE VERSION OF IT). BY THE WAY, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS INCREDIBLE UPLOAD, THOUGH I NEVER ASK YOU FOR IT BUT I STILL HAVE TO THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME A FIVE-YEAR OLD BRAT LIKE I USED TO. CHEERS AND ROCK N' ROLL!!! :D (OH, ALSO, THANK YOU TOO FOR INCLUDING THAT OLD-SCHOOL BIRCH TREE MILK POWDER TV AD THAT HAS LONG BEEN INTO MY OWN MIND SINCE 1988. THIS ONE IS WHAT I ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR WITHIN THE LAST 35+ YEARS IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!)
@@undustfixation Nope. what I meant is when I watch something like this, I'm resurfacing whatever the remnants of my 5-year old self. I missed being a 5-year old self even If I was really that 'mindless' during that time. And, FYI, Saturday Fun machine was actually that segment where some 1980's cartoons did played it on that Channel during that time. I Remember all too well because of Ronald McDonald and The Junior Edition of News Watch.
The earliest version of Newswatch Junior Edition - based on some old TV magazines I’ve read - go as far back as 1978. Inday Badiday’s daughter Dolly Anne Carvajal, Baby O’Brien’s daughter Rina Reyes, and Janice de Belen started there. One of the Uytengsu kids too (from the family that owns Alaska Milk).
Looks like I'm listening again to a multiplex cassette tape full of Nursery Rhymes. And Gem is the voice of those Nursery Rhymes. Amazing! I born in 1990.
Parating kinomersyal ang pinaka-memorable na Birch Tree Milk Powder lalo na pag mga GMA shows tulad ng "That's Entertainment", "Eye To Eye", "Movie Magazine", "GMA Supershow" at "Lovingly Yours, Helen".
Since the bumper for "Newswatch Junior Edition" is in monochrome, like black and white, no one knows for sure what it looked like in color. Because it's recorded in a black-and-white TV. But we did know what this RPN 9 "The Leader" looked like in color, and that was the one in "Eat Bulaga". Saw it from the TCP Archives video already.
Yep. Bago ang Junior TV Patrol ng ABS CBN, Newswatch Junior muna ang nauna. Then in 2008, they relaunched the program. If y'all are familiar with Janeena Chan, who is now a GMA artist, she came from that show. And surprisingly, Yasser Marta too. Although I never saw Yasser back then. Maybe he never made it as a finalist
Pagkatapos ng opening bumper ng "Newswatch Junior Edition", wala pa 'yung sponsor plug either snippet of a commercial or telop filled with little-bit dusts na tulad ng sinabi ng VO, "This program is brought you by McDonald's!".
I'm confident these young lads and lasses grew up to be fine gentlemen and ladies in various fields. I also hope that today's children can emulate the articulation and eloquence these youths of yore can muster when reporting on the latest news, not regurgitating empty content.
Sa Taxes for the Metropolis jingle PSA (right after "Airwolf" teaser plug), wala pa 'yung nakasulat sa chargen na "A message from OPS, PIA, KBP and this station." sa huling bahagi nito.
CNN Philippines Junior Edition is now gone then succeeded by RPTV. Would bring Junior Edition back after transition? This reminds me of Jr. TV Patrol in early 90’s.
Child Learning Center eventually became Marymount School. I studied there from grade 1 to 4th year high school. 1988-1998. Mrs. Sylvia Limon was hands-on until I was in grade 2. Eventually, years after I graduated from college, Mrs, Limon died. The family tried to run the school for a few more years then sold it to Congressman Gus Tambunting and was renamed Marymount Academy.
Excuse me, can I borrow this video for a Post-EDSA or During Martial Law video? Also, I would like to borrow these too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mlkwGgr_bmE.htmlsi=8FGpsl2mp5CUA0k9 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dkHyHtCQqNY.htmlsi=DIMGwvfxtgGbpYVB@@undustfixation
Nacurious tuloy ako doon sa bag of goodies na pinapamigay ng Pen Pen. Ano kaya laman nun at magkano kaya yung halaga? 1988 yan kaya medyo mura pa ang mga bilihin, haha
