Let me correct you, only South Indian actors seems to love India and Indian Culture. Bollywood Actors love Western Culture more than South Indian Actors. Deepika wore an LV gown which looked more Dior than LV; nonetheless she looked like an old lady in it. She should have worn a Saree, would have looked soooo much better.

Equal pay is not equality that's the st**est thing I have ever heard feminists say. If you are a heroine who can sell a movie without a hero then I can agree, you should be paid equal. Otherwise it's just how bankable are you . If I'm in a partnership business someone buying a product because of my popularity i should get more profit than my partner who may be more talented and worked hard for the product, that doesn't mean he should get equal pay the one who sells more should get more payment simple as that

What an insult. Snubbed RRR in all the major FILM categories and instead nominated Naatu Naatu for best original song when everybody knows it is not even the best song in the film. Komuram Bheemudo, Raamam Raghavam, Dosti, Etthara Jenda are much better compositions with more weight in them. But they went all out in nominating Parasite for Best Picture. Nominating Naatu Naatu feels so condescending and a way to avoid backlash from Americans. Literally a token award. It only increased their TRP while maintaining the stereotype of Indian cinema. Komuram Bheemudo winning would have been so much better instead of a dance song that only sounds good while doing the steps. Really disappointed. Cinematography, VFX, action, acting, direction, screenplay, nothing! But Indians going gaga over this "bheekh" and woke Oscars getting brownie points for promoting inclusivity and diversity is pityful especially after Team RRR spent so much money on premiers and promotions for Oscar buzz. This is the honest truth. No hate for any film industry.
For the people in West, Asain cinema has to show poverty, slums and the struggles of middle and lower class people and how they barely manage to survive, they relate to that kind of image of Asia and find it exotic. The authentic Indian style of film making is not to their liking and they cannot relate to it. As for this song, it has appealed to the masses in the west, the dance sequence was not something they have ever seen, it may be nothing new to us though and then there were various Hollywood personalities promoting the Movie and Song, there are multiple such reasons for this song winning an Oscar and yes, it's definately not bheekh.
