Dal Makhni is made with Rajma Dal Bukhar is without Rajma Dal Makhni can be cooked in an hour or two But Dal Bukhar is cooked over night. This is not a Rich and full of cream It is full of taste and flavour Dal Makhni has Masale Dal Bukhar is made only with Tomato , ginger garlic paste , red chili powder, salt , butter and cream (little bit) This is why this is brown and others are tan brown. Dal Makhni gets the texture by cream or smashed dal itself while cooking Dal Bukhar get the texture due to over night cooking (like condensed milk) Kheer aur Rabdi mai jo anter hai voh hai Dal Makhni aur Bukhara mai. Its like comparing Ayurvedic vs homeopathic Or Instant noodles with Normal noodles. Time is Money. More the time it takes more expensive it will be . I am a Big fan of Dal Bukhara And it tastes perfect if its eaten in the restaurant. Parcel mai itna maza nahi ayega. Totally agreed with you Tanmay, itc's dal Bukhara doesn't hit the taste bud as a dhaba or a restaurant dal makhni did. I remember 12 Oct 2018 the first & last day to experience dal Bukhara, regret that day.
its overrated for sure. had it once. it is creamy but from the dal itslef not from butter nd all. we desis like too much butter. i have had food too at every price range. the middle class choices are worth it in every sense
