There are pretty easy modifications that can be done for the Tom Cat, like individual outputs and individual controls for the open and closed hihats and deep sustain for the bassdrum... I have them on my tomcat and it plays a lot nicer now.
Wolf has such a deep subby kick. The individual out for the synth is much needed to route out to effects. Otherwise they’re quite similar. The Wolf seems to be a better tool for me but I have both for fun. Pair with a drumbrute impact for crazy polyrhythms and you have a fun live drum rig with two easy to use interfaces. I use the kick from the drumbrute individual outs to trigger sidechain compression. House goodness my friends. 😀
In Mexico, a person sells me this drum machine for 200 usd. I don't know if it's worth it since it cost approximately 150 euros in 2015 but because it is too rare and really very particular. I think I will encourage myself to buy it, I don't think I have a chance like this.
Interesting bit of kit, I like the flexibility of the tom sounds but I'm not convinced by it. Nice vid though. Love the psychedelic backgrounds, what do you use to do them?
Ebay runs a popular classifieds here in Europe, they aren't super common here either, but there are usually one or two machines for sale on that site. Maybe some other viewer can help you find one in the States. Maybe also ask people over at the Bad Gear video of the Tom Cat. As Bad Gear is hugely more popular than this humble channel, many more people are probably going to see it there 😉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zF2Rdzka2fQ.html
Really great. but why don't you explain the function of the tie button in your video, i think it's the most important function on the devices tom and wolf
