👏👏👏👏👏👏 Finally got around to uploading the video for this, heh. This is an arrangement of SM's elite four music in the style of the Gen 3 main games' battle themes. Also inserted with Sappy and recorded from an Emerald ROM.
I know, didnt even know that there was such things as unlisted videos on yt! Used to listen to this around the time it came out, and then around 2 years ago I couldn't find it again on yt - was sad bc this theme is pretty sick I thought that the video was deleted :( I checked my like playlist for the first time ever today and was shocked when i found it- I am soo glad that I liked this video before it became unlisted. But they need to unlist it
Hey! I bet that they simply got lost on the ocean BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH WATER IT'S HARD TO NAVIGATE! And such a massive amount of brasses is really hard to transport, too!
Now, I've played Gen 3 more times then I can count. And listened to plenty of RSE remixes, including ones of this song. But NONE of them got it as perfect as this one. Have you played these games over a million times too?
In this style it sounds more like it should be Lucy's theme in the Frontier. Which just makes me like it even more since she's my favorite Brain of my favorite Frontier event.
The beginning of this theme just does NOT work with the GBA soundfont. I've seen others and none of them got the beginning right, but the rest is always fine. :P
I feel like they may have pulled back on Kahili getting a large role. I mean, she was mentioned by an NPC in the demos as "traveling the world in order to conquer it." Really would like to know where that may have been headed...
Well, she is the most challenging of the Alola elite four. She starts off with a sturdy Skarmory that's very likely to use spikes, has a Crobat that will outspeed almost anything, a bulky Mandibuzz that will stall you with 3/4 of its moves, a Toucannon that can burn you and an Oricorio that's just a general pain in the ass.
I hate to say it but I use black or white Kyurem against Skarmory. If you use a flying-type or levitating Pokémon it won't use spikes. Personally I rely on 1 hit KOs more than anything if I'm not playing competitively.
Sounds like Something that would come from the Gen 3 quintet, (would Fiveology sound better? to you? just wondering cause I googled up another word for Five and quintet came up as a synonym)
