It was a cold, clear Sunday morning in Linlithgow. That was until 55022 showed up and woke the town with what can only be described as a volcanic eruption! The Deltic was running from Bo'ness Junction to Yoker C.S. in Glasgow to collect translator coaches to be later delivered to Glasgow Works for transporting EMUs across non-electrified sections of the Strathclyde rail network.

4. 1R46 - The conductor is seen performing his duties in preparation for the departure of 170452 to Edinburgh.
5. 0Z55 - 55022 thunders away from Linlithgow U.P.L. with a tone, a wave and a great deal of smoke towards Yoker.
