Thank you but I have a question: What happens if you get your PLC offline? RSlinx goes always on as well as the Factory? It seems they are both running from cache. Is there a way that the Factory flags up the loss of connection once the PLS goes offline?
@@ShaneWelcher Ahh I see. Thank you. I am also working on a client application that needs to pull data from the RSLinx Classic OPC. How do we setup a subscription / publication service between the two? For example: 1. Part Serial scans by PLC 2. Print Command by PLC These reflect in RSLinx OPC. Wondering how to push that to the client app

Thanks for the enlightenment. I have a question about my RSlogix.. I want to connect my Citect Scada 2018 to Rslogix5000 using RSLink Classic Gateway and I am using Rslogix Emulate 5000 as my PLC . @@ShaneWelcher Thanks for your reply. Our OPC has been running quite well in the plant but I had not been involved setting it up during commissioning. So now I want to practice doing it with an emulator (RSlogix emulate 5000) with my rslinxclassic gateway to my citect scada. I'm confused which driver i will use when setting up drivers for opc in rslinx.. 😅. if i use ethernet, is the hostname my pc name? Also my rslinx keeps closing now if i click any drivers.. 🤔🙏
