Thanks Chris for your kind words, I look forward to coming up again in June, I've treated myself to a new lens so it will be good to try it out. What a great place to live! Regards Steve
Thanks for your reply Stephen, yes it's a nice place to live and I've been here for 76 year's,just subscribed to your channel today and are looking forward to viewing the rest of your videos, keep up the good work.
Beautiful video Stephen and it was lovely to see the close up's. I will be visiting Bempton Cliffs soon for the first time, looking forward to it. Thank you.
great video Stephen!. I noticed most of the nesting images are from above whilst the last two, puffins, seem to be shot from a lower position..is the path taking you down or were you on a boat at some point?
@@maxpvisuals it's always a risk, it seems to depend on a few things, others are better qualified to give reasons than me. Most times I visit in June but that year we went back in early July and saw more puffins and Gannett chicks. I guess end of July maybe getting a bit late. Ringing RSPB bempton maybe the ones to ask?
@@StephenTurner240 Ok great thanks for the reply, appreciate it :) Don't think we've got any weekends free so gonna check it out on the 27th July, fingers crossed!
@@StephenTurner240 heya, so we went yesterday (Sunday 28 Jul 24) and the locals were saying that the puffins are dwindling and every day now there's fewer and fewer. very challenging to see but we did see one on the cliff coming in and out of their alcove, and a few floating on the waters, and maybe 1 or to flying close to the water. mainly 1000s of gannets though! was probably the last weekend to see any puffins and we got lucky :) will try again next year in june.
@@maxpvisuals at least you got to see one at least! I went 10 days ago and only saw the one and apparently most left a couple of weeks ago. Interestingly I didn’t see hardly any Razorbills or Guillemots but plenty of Gannets which are my favourite seabird. I’m just putting together a video of the trip which includes Flamborough Head, it was good to see the seals in the water and not just basking ashore. There’s always next year!
