RSPB NI: Landscape-scale habitat supporting breeding waders, DAERA Environmental Farming Scheme 

RSPB NI Conservation Officer Katie Gibb takes us through the management practices and benefits of landscape scale protection and conservation for waders on grassland.
This video is one of a series of five produced by the RSPB in Northern Ireland, focusing on the options available through the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs’ Environmental Farming Scheme (EFS) to farmers and land managers as part of this programme.
Landscape scale conservation and protection through the EFS on grassland can provide not only carbon sequestration, helping to mitigate climate change but also increases biodiversity while rewarding farmers for providing these environmental services.
