भारत एक शांति प्रिय देश है और लिहाजा हथियारों की होड़ में हमने कोई खास दिलचस्पी नहीं दिखाई...लेकिन पड़ोसियों से मिलती लगातार रक्षा चुनौतियों ने हमें अपना रक्षा तंत्र विकसित करने पर मजबूर किया। भारत ने इस दिशा में कई घरेलु और दूसरे देशों के साथ द्विपक्षीय स्तर पर कई कदम भी उठाए और अब बारी है दिल्ली जैसे अहम शहरों को किसी भी हावाई हमले से सुरक्षित करने की। भारत ने रूस के बाद अब अमेरिका से भी वायु रक्षा प्रणाली विकसित करने की तैयारी कर ली है। आज विशेष में हम बताएंगे ये कौन सी तकनीक है, इसकी क्या अहमियत है और भारत के लिए ये क्यों जरूरी है
India is a peace-loving country and therefore we have not shown any particular interest in the arms race ... But the constant security challenges met with neighbors forced us to develop our defense mechanism. India has taken many steps in this direction with many domestic and other countries at the bilateral level, and now it is time to protect important cities like Delhi from any attack. After Russia, India has now been preparing to develop air defense systems from the US.
