Congrats bro. Your lucky you have a rsx vs a tsx. Easier process. Your firewall is reinforced for it unlike the tsx. But i'm pretty much doing the same. Good shit and enjoy the rsx. Next you definitely have to get a type S motor or tsx motor, type s oil pump, bigger cams, and your golden, dont need the type s head on a k24a2, just port it, put the civic SI iM on it and your good to go.
The video is great man is really helpful since there is barely information about it on the internet, is important to point out that some part from the 02-04 are not compatible with the 05-06 ( engine harness, dash harness, ecu) I've been doing it on mine for a while now, I've somewhat complete it, I was able to drive the car using the automatic dash harness, but the connection that I did to make it work disconnected, I just need to find where hopefully this information is helpful

@@redd1379 that really depends on your goals for the car. If your only goal is swapping from an auto to manual that's simple enough. But if you wanna keep going it's often better to have a game plan to make things much simpler.
Thing is im interested in doing this only so i can properly mod the car (add a racing intake, 1320 downpipe with turbo, kpro, new exhaust, etc) but do i keep the k20a3 engine? Is it all possible with just a manual swap?

Hi what did you do about the third bolt that goes on the top of the clutch pedal bracket, mine seems to flex when I push down and the autos didn't come with it.
@Aspired Driven Auto Thanks for a great video series! I'm going to do this AT2MT swap this summer, gathering the parts now. Do you have to send the AT ECU in to Ktuner to have it re-flashed into a MT ECU? Also, is the dash harness really necessary?
Only 5 speed compatible with base k20z3 or 6 speed can work too? Also if i ever decide to swap the engine for a k20A type r engine and 6 speed trans will i ever need to change the engine mounts again or any of that? Thanks
Are the clusters the same I got a ugly type s I’m putting everything in a auto so I got everything I was told to swap the ignition so I can keep the type s ecu but it has a k24
Thanks so much for this video. I have an '03 Base Auto with Manual trans. This is preventing me from tuning the car ( ie - Auto Trans RSX cannot be tuned ). If I JUST change this from an auto to a manual, will I be able to finally get my car tuned with K-Pro or Haltech? Would I still be able to keep my K20A3 engine ? I am just looking to get about 40 WHP using a tune and bolt-ons . Thanx in advance.
@@joshibrahim1537 Bolt on upgrades. So things that don’t require you to open up the engine or open up your transmission. For example things like air intakes, exhausts, bolt on turbo kits, air filters. Stuff like that so the easy upgrades that do add a bit of performance, but not a lot.
I bought the user end kit which is nice if you plan on doing things in the future. For example, swapping the engine and getting a tune. The turn around time was pretty quick when I had it done. I believe I got it back in a week .
I recently bought an rsx base model that was auto to manual swapped, but the problem with the car is that it doesn’t go over 5k, the guy I bought it from told me that I need an ecu, is that true?
Oh dang, to be honest I have no idea. But it does sound like an ecu problem. The ECU would limit how high the rpms go. Is it still using the stock auto ecu?
