Such an emotional ending to an incredible 14 years. All the gang together sharing the moment with a great presenter in Ryan Tubridy on his last gig. Wishing Patrick Kielty all the best when he takes the reigns in September.
It was way over the top. Sycophantic to the point of cringe. Sickening. Especially as he probably knew that the revelations of his corruption were coming out. Understand that it was an emotional day for him but he/they should have toned it down.... Even without the revelations I still found it to be uncomfortable viewing. Far too much fawning. The revelations tho, make it look worse.
This last show was so obsequies towards Ryan it was actually sickening. Youd swear he had months to live the way they were fawning over him. Then, less then a month later, the revelations about his secret wages come out. Makes the tone of his last show even more sickening. Egotistical greedy fraud.

Patrick Kielty is way worse, it’s suppose to be a serious chat show, and all that ejit is doing is making awkward jokes and trying not to break into laughter half the time at his own jokes.
he is a national treasure, yes, there are questions over the amounts he was paid...these are not his issues. How RTE dealt with his salary is their problem, it is an accounting issue..he got paid, paid his taxes. I am Irish, I live in Germany, internationally he is one of Ireland's greats... knock RTE not him
