Lord Hoffman clearly explained that Lord Denning was wonderful with litigants in person - so-called "self-represented" litigants.

@@milesrout He got rid of self represented litigants, by telling them that the court had no no jurisdiction to hear their case, and mocked them by asking the clerk to tell them the earliest train they can catch back to their hometown. He didn't care that the matter and troubled litigant would not have a hearing nor justice.
