This one is the 'sim-card'. Joel swapped the simcard in Jack's phone. This way Jack believed he lost his phone number, but in reality he lost nothing. 'Quotes' was when everyone agreed to only send Gus messages on AOL (their office chat) in quotes. "to a normal person this would mean nothing, however they know what Gus is like and it drove him crazy". He thought it was an update and kept trying to turn it off in the settings searching google etc

It only worked for a few (about 45) minutes. Joel planted a store bought/pre-paid SIM in Jack's phone and gave out that number, not Jack's actual number.

Ken M i know , i was just wondering if the number still worked , but i guess it wouldn't make sense , since that would mean that the SIM would still be in jack's phone.

Following a train of logic would allow one to assume that it no longer works, that's correct.
