to expand on your answer for anyone who is interested, Burnie talked about the moment it becoming to much is when his mom/dad died within a week or so of each other and finding him self stuck in back to back conventions and conferences and while sitting at a convention table just feeling this overwhelming emotional drain wit out being able to really take a moment to deal with it. Im sure back then as the company was in rapid growth (It still kind of is now) it was a lot harder so I don't blame him personally.

patrickguyum Actually Barbara does most of the RTX organizing. Gus used to do more for the podcast but everyone else got the hang of it so Gus just sits down and they put an iPad in one hand and a beer in the other.

Real software terms jumbled together to make it seem like he's busy.

All of what he says is legitimate computer systems engineering. "Normalizing our data streams so they're IEEE-compliant" is database engineering, "upgrading our web software" for cool new features and to apply fixes to security holes, "patching the kernel of the web servers" is the result of having to look for a specific version of Linux that will allow all the programs to continue working after said upgrades.
