Just a few months ago, we were threatened with 9 months in prison and $2500 fines for having a messy lawn. We don't have an HOA, but your state's government can absolutely take action against you for things like that. The biggest offense on the list was an old couch that we had sitting on the lawn offering it for free to any neighbors who wanted it, but even after removing it, we were still told that we had to tear out our dead grass and replace it with rock gravel out of pocket.

What an absolute nasty thing they did to gavin there, he is casually explaining the right to private property and Barbara instantly changes the conversation to make him seems stupid. Tricky tricky

To a certain degree you can do whatever you want with your own land, yes, you can't burn tires, but you can just leave a bunch of boxes outside on your lawn next to a busted rusted car that you're never gonna fix. Obviously, you can't just pollute the environment, that's not only an extreme, but also a facetious answer to Gavin's question.

Gavins generally a smart person but there’s totally something you can do here. If what they’re doing with their land is interfering with YOUR right to enjoy your land in peace you can absolutely ask them to clean up their shit
