Omg I'm so glad that they cut that part out in noels lament that was so racist!! Edit: its concerning that no one in this comment section knows how this part in the song is racist. So if you dont know, g**** is a slur. Its a slur thats been used against Romani people and people of Roma who are an ethnic group in India, who have been marginalized and enslaved by many european countries. In this section of the song the racist sterotype of Romani people being kidnappers or buying children is used, which has been a sterotype that has been used as an accuse for theyre oppression. If you want to know more about Romani people florida.floridian is a really good and informative tiktok and youtube channel. With that beings said its okay to still like rtc and im not saying you shouldn't. I absolutely love this musical, but you should always critique any problematic elements in the art you love.
