The scope I am using on Mora is Discovery HD Gen2 5-30x56 Here is my affiliated link for all Discovery products: www.discoveryo...?cid=711ac56f Use code "DISCOVERY" to get additional 10% discount at checkout.
The accuracy is superb for a 9 mm. Those beasts of an airgun are not made for the accuracy you get from a .22 or .25. Power is the name of the game here and the results on the 2-inch target are quite something. Bravo.
My uragan 30cal said u are a liar.... and it depends on the shooter, if you can't shoot, don't blame the bigger calibers ... nickel at 50 yards, any pellet and brand, Jsb knock out, and hybrid slugs.... you need look up those CZ barrels history.... again it's the shooter, every gun is accurate
I think it’s going to stabilize long Griffins or Zan or Altaros 40+ grain with the 1:16 better than anything out there in production. My .257 Lilja Scandalous will outshoot most anything honestly in a mechanical rest with a reg. John Bowman builds .257’s like rail gun tanks. Too heavy for practical purposes so I don’t think it’s all about caliber measurement OD. Scoring in competition is probably factors that are not of my concern but you might have a very valid point about that. I don’t claim to know anything really
Oh I misread it. Yeah the heavy push off but why such heavy builds do good like my old Scandalous did. I wish John could turn some out but he won’t get online and most people who want his rifles are in Europe
I briefly tested all calibres already with 600 mm barrels (I only have 9 mm barrel in 700 mm right now) and it is amazing and just so accurate with RPB barrels. But I really want them all in 700 mm. that will be the combo to have.
The sound of the plastic rustling while taking the pellet out of the bag almost made me want to punch a wall. Like some of the people at cinema that keep reaching in their noisy AF bag only to take out a single candy instead of a handful...and the whole theater are sitting there listening to that one guy and his noisy bag. The gun is awesome!
That' hits with some authority hitting that steel & dirt with some power it also looks like really good quality as well proud of you my brother !!! Enjoy
Gregor. Try to get a non windy day. Do a range test using paper targets to help with getting dialed in, and see where its hitting. Then just shoot 5 shot groups using different brands and weights of slugs. Want t see how well it groups. 100m. Or maybe out to 150m if it's capable of tight groups. Could you get a .22 cal or a .25 cal barrel for testing, as this wud be what most people wud be buying for normal target and hunting applications.
Thank you for the vid. Can't wait for the full review. Hope it comes in march/april. Any ideas about the barrel in 9mm? Light choke like the lw rpb? And how many shots per fill do you reckon with those Zan 112s?
I think RTI will keep this barrel for the 9 mm version (standard LW airgun barrel without choke). .25 and .22 will be with RPB barrel that has a slight choke as you mentioned. Don't know the shot count (it also depends on the bottle used) yet...
I took some of these Discovery models out there and certainly the image quality looked great. My only beef was that it seemed easy to accidentally change the dioptre adjustment. Any comments here? (that was a year ago thought that i tested them)
I didn't yet played attention to the drop specific with this slugs. But with velocity and BC of the slugs, this can easy be calculated (using a ballistic software)... I never swagged my own slugs. Till now, the only slugs I made were by casting and sizing.
I already made several test with the prototype, but I did not release the videos because I wanted to have production version. Production version is coming very soon and videos along it :)
Well, that is not the final configuration of the gun. I will get those numbers not that I finally have the full production version with correct bottles...
@gregorkamensek3923 Greg my friend I'm not taking anything away from the gun or you buddy is all I'm say is that Brian from EDGUNWEST shot at a hundred plus yards with the LESHYI 2 using slugs and they were hitting basically in the same spot over and over. And even though it wasn't quite at your speed it was still over a hundred foot pounds.
@@JohnVentarino-ey5lnNo worries, I am happy to hear that about Leshiy 2 and I wish I had that same experience because I really liked it, but unfortunately, I did not. But I did want to clarify that Mora does have a magazine, it is just that I don't have it yet, RTI did not send it yet. I have it only .25 cal at the moment.
@@gregorkamensek3923 I didn’t adjust the regulator pressure because all reviews were explaining that you must adjust only three things, hammer, valve and discharge point the last thing if needed and it is rarely needed.
Very nice gun . I will save penny from now to buy this. Realy beautiful gun.but Weight should be not more than 3 kg. I am a boss hunter in my district i use jk han nobless .22. Lcs air arms sk19 .25 Vulcan 3 .25 700mm. But every time i face weight problem during my hunting cause in remote area i have to walk miles and miles for hunting. So that low weight is a must for a hunter choich
@@gregorkamensek3923 1 more Question: Will it be possible to put a 700cc tank on it? That type of power will require massive air consumption....and more air would be GREAT!!!
Don't know about that yet. This is a production prototype, so the guns are already in production, but I don't know how long it will take until its release.
Yeah, that is true. But this is the production prototype so it will most likely look closer to this one once released. It will be at IWA this year as well...
Finally some more information, so much waiting, I have hope that after adjusting regulator we can bump up to 400 jules, Everything looks do much promising. Will it have possibility to mount 1 liter tank, and picatinny rail under out od the box?
I can say that 350 J will be possible, not sure if 400 can be reached... Yes, I have 1.1 liter bottle and the under rail picatinny as well :) More coming...
@@gregorkamensek3923 That's very promising, I'm already selling my m3 for this, How do You think, when we will be able to buy it? Many my buddies also wait 😂
@@gagain100I don't have the exact number but it is quite heavy... The rear body is huge. The front side is very light despite the huge shroud... I will give some number once I make a review.
He said very clearly that he is running low on air. The reason you tether it then is because otherwise you are constantly going back to refill to stay above the reg. With the tether you have a large volume to work with above the reg vs low volume above the reg.
Well, I can explain first hand :). This was the 1st 100 m test I made, before that I had groups at 70 meters using .22, .25 and 9 mm barrels to see what slugs the gun likes. All test with high power and unthreaded, so I emptied the bottle down to about 220 bars. The regulator was set to 190 bars so even threaded, the regulator had to work properly. I will most likely show the videos of groups on the 70m target of the slug that preformed well in one of the future videos.
@@gregorkamensek3923 I've learned a hard lesson with FX. Owned a few rifles. The regs are pathetic. Their videos are done with their rifles tethered whenever they running a chrony
Hi, could you say something about the suppressor? Looks cool in the picture cool that it is the same diameter as the shroud. They might still work on a hush suppressor matching the shroud, that'd be awesome. M18? I've been looking forward to this gun for a while. Can't wait.
I will get some mor info, but here is what I know now: Hušh suppressor comes in two sizes, each size can come in carbon or aluminium version. The smaller size has only 1/2" inner thread (that I know off) but the bigger version (that one matches Mora's shroud in size) has a larger inner thread (don't know the dimensions, might be M18...) and for mora there is an adapter because Mora shroud also has an inner thread on the shroud. This means that you can mount the suppressor on Mora without any gap in between shroud and suppressor... BTW: Mora's shroud already extends in front of the barrel more than 10 cm, so there is already a very effective sound suppression in the shroud without using additional thread on suppressor. I shoot smaller calibers without it but for 9 mm, I decided to shoot with additional suppressor
@@melchertnowee8443Oh, I forgot to mention: the shroud that I have on the video is made for 600 mm barrel, not 700 mm. This is why the shroud does not extend full to the action in my case. RTI did not yet send the longer shroud for 700 mm barrels so I had to use this one.
