The fact that a graphics card can run Red Dead redemption at 12k ultra is terrifying…

That card really is pretty damn powerful. 12k resolution is about 80 million pixels on the screen.. that is mind blowing

I used to watch 4K videos of this game 2080 ti era, and it was hard stuck at 25 FPS and now, this is just insane never expected it to be possible anytime soon. This is just amazing and you know what else is amazing you my friend Kryzzp and the person reading this comment.

Water physics quality is an FPS killer as Well at 4/4. 3/4 does not look any different and you can appreciate the boost in performance.

I usually never watch benchmark videos without skipping but somehow you can make these really entertaining and i never notice that i've made it at the end of the video. Awesome job man.

i remember playing this on xbox when it came out... looked amazing back then, it just straight up looks 100x more beautiful on 8k ultra dlss, definitely will consider picking up a 4000 series in the right time

Best RU-vid game benchmarker, in real time, straight to the point, no time wasted, all resolutions you need done quickly.

Also little tip: when you turnt he resolution to 8K you don't need stuff like TAA (Antri Aliasing) or 8xMSAA on reflections. At that resolution any kind of Anti-Aliasing becomes an unnecessary performance killer. Plus if you lower the quality to high instead of Ultra, the 4090 can probably achieve pretty playable framerates at native 8K.

Damn you blow up so fast in 3 years ( Im sub to you since 2019 ) And you actually got the RTX 4090 now! In 2021 you got the RTX 3060 TI, the RTX 3070 TI and even the RTX 3080 Ti In 2020 you sowed us your collection of Graphics card ( for 100K or 50K if im right? ) And i don't really remember 2019 but you are such an awesome RU-vidr that blew up so fast :DD Thank You for making this amazing content for us ! ^^

I'm still amazed with this game and how well Rockstar future proofed it. The fact they made graphical settings to which no system could run it back in 2018, to be used when systems could is just amazing. I can't wait to see how well they future proof GTA 6.

I find it amazing how the 5800x3d is good for almost 200 FPS in this game at 1080p. It’s an absolute monster of a CPU

I'm hoping that the 4080 is as impressive an upgrade over the predecessor as the 4090 was, because Nvidia really kicked out of the park with the 4090. The only problem with the 4090 aside for the price (which if you compare it to its closest performance competitor isn't bad) is the power draw and the likelihood of needing a new PSU to support it. My current system doesn't have a ton of fans, but it has 32gb ddr4 at 3200 mhz and a ryzen 3800x. I'm hoping if I get the 4080 16gb that my system can put out some great performance still, until I eventually upgrade the other parts like Mobo, CPU, ram.

When I was in middle school. Seeing my friend running NFS Underground 2 smoothly at a whopping 1280x1024 res and I thought nothing can ever top that. Boy I was wrong years later. I'm excited to see one day 16K would be the standard for gaming!

I can't imagine what my kids will say to me in 20 years time if I tell them I played video games on my slightly self-OCed GTX750 with 30fps at 1080p that were (are) 10 years old at this point... even just seeing someone play at 4k and seeing the difference of 4K vs 1080p on a 1080p monitor is mind-boggling. By the way, if you read this, I really love your work. Love seeing all this different hardware in different games and scenarios! Currently dreaming of pairing my i5 6500 with either an RX580 or maybe even a 590 (if I can get a good used deal, I do a lot of GPU but not CPU intense work for university so ist does still make sense). You really helped me in finding the sweet spot of what I want to get out of my Frankenstein rig haha! At least got me some 16GB of RAM recently, so much better than 8!!!

Can you try Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Crysis Remastered at 1080p, 1440p, and 4k on max settings? Crysis pushed the 3090ti to its limits and Mirror's Edge is one of my favorite games

Would like to see how 4090 would work with i3 12100f at higher resolution compared to i9 12900k. Would be interesting at 4k, 8k fps lows differecne of those 2 CPUs.

1440p + resolution scale is the way to go

You should try 16K on RTX 6000. It has 48 GB of VRAM.

My 7800XT runs this game at 120 fps max settings with 2X resolution on a 1440p monitor haha. There has to be some kind of soft cap to what the game can really do despite the monstrous abilities of a 4090. Very good to know thank you for sharing!

stutters are possibly due to Ryzens not being well optimized on win11. Same thing happens to Intel 12gen and 13gen due to E cores. I played rdr2 on 12600k+6800xt @1440p ultra, theoratically should work perfectly smooth, while i had too many stutters playing the game(which is super anoying)(even low 0.1% couldn't detect these). Then i turned off all E cores, and the game became extremely smooth even @4k ultra. I believe 6800xt is not able to run 60fps @4k ultra but its better with no stutter than 120fps with many stutters. I really love your video ,you are a humourous guy, wish this can help you a bit.

Not sure if you can do this again, but I would like to see HUB optimized settings when you test this game again with the 4090? You will be surprised how HUB optimized setting actually looks better vs Native.

Thanks for the video. Why are you using Vulkan API and not DX12? Normally DX12 give a better performance on Windows. BTW Vulkan is great on Linux and MacOS.

Damn this card is absolutely insane!!! Can you test RDR1 with Xenia Canary emulator on this beast, it recently got a huge performance update but still requires a damn strong GPU for high resolutions, I would greatly appreciate it

The power usage at the end on 16k. So noted: either play at too low of a resolution relative to what the 4090 is capable of, or just go all out until VRAM is the limit and not pure GPU strength.

It's amazing that the only reason why 16K was running so bad was because of memory, if you had like 28gb - 32gb I'm pretty sure it would've been around 8-10 fps which is pretty amazing considering it is RDR2 16K Ultra

Msaa actually gives the game more of a colorful look instead of the faded look it has, the grass looks greener and the oceans and rivers look very blue i personally like it and use it.

😅rs pretty clear that game devs optimized their games in the last few years for a max of 10gb or vram. A few games might use an extra gig or two tops with a 3090 or above. I sure hope they revisit optimizing for more ram. Especially in CP, horizon 5, this game…

Maybe the new titan card coming out (48GB VRAM)will be advertised as “16k gaming” even though 8k is still impossibly because all of the monitors are $3k+

I find that RDR2 is unplayable visually WITHOUT DLSS Quality mode enabled...and I'm not talking about the FPS performance. I could never get rid of that soft, almost fuzzy look to the image quality no matter WHAT I did with the settings at 4K resolution...and I had everything maxed out on "ultra". Then I watched a YT video with someone playing the game in 4K resolution after the update that added DLSS to the game and the image looked so sharp, crisp and beautiful that I was stunned. I thought he was using a mod. But I started up the Rockstar Launcher, updated the game and then turned DLSS Quality on in the settings and BAM...all of a sudden the picture was stunningly crisp, clear and beautiful at 4K. The only thing that DLSS struggles with in RDR2 is the hair...both on humans and the horses. It's definitely noticeable and while it does bug me SLIGHTLY, I find that the visual quality UPLIFT on everything else in the environment is actually so huge with DLSS Quality enabled that it is worth the trade-off. In other words, I don't even use DLSS Quality in RDR2 for the performance uplift (I have a 3090 for now, hoping to get a 4090 soon)...I use it because it actually makes the game look BETTER at 4K than native resolution does...it's actually MUCH better. And that is true even if I turn ALL anti-aliasing off, including TAA. I'm hoping that Rockstar will add the relatively new DLAA to the game in the near future because it might improve the visuals even more.

If you lower water physic quality to all the way down you will gain fps back like maybe 5-15 fps. I lowered it down and in 1440p not 4k I know I ended up getting like pass 65 fps and never got to lower than 56 fps ultra setting during the day. During the night though I had to turn down a bit the shadow and lighting setting to get like around 74 fps in saint Denis.

Shady Belle camp in the morning is the most demanding area.
