i was so confused when yuisa got booted bc they showed wonhee and iris struggling for their lives for 20 minutes at a time failing to do minor things, i was 99% iris would get kicked and when they said yuisa i was like??? Who tf is that? I swear she had 1 second of screen time, they didnt make her notable in any way and then just booted her off. There’s absolutely no narrative except when iroha was upset about her lines I also hate how we’ve been given 1 whole week to vote after the recent episode ended on the ‘bad’ performance of dream of you- i feel like everyone should be on equal ground and the audience should see EVERYTHING there is to judge before pumping a max 7x votes per person into one trainee

They obv over exaggerated it for the drama but i wonder what happens in the actual episode. I thought iris would shine in a dancing episode but maybe not? I still wonder why she got ranked high, I don’t understand what the judges saw in her over the dreams come true team.
Also unrelated but i hate how in one of the q+as on runext’s yt its shown wonhee iris and ena dropped out of school to become idols, its very wrong. i think none of these trainees should debut NOW but i think ena and wonhee have idol talent, but the fact ena probably cant even do long multiplication makes me ☹️☹️☹️
They could've chosen a different Chungha song if they wanted to. Having songs with a sexy or mature concept is honestly such a gamble on survival shows because you never know who might perform and somehow a minor is always going to be in the lineup
it’s very strange to look at because everything goes very fast, we don’t really know the girls' personality, we don’t see them doing activities or just creating relationships but just fighting to have the parts etc. . I wish there were more things happening like in boy planet for example . The elimination was also very weird, they made it go too nasty , it’s a pity coming from hybe especially that some competitors really have talent .
The judges are kind of useless or questionable, especially since it seems hybe clearly has a certain lineup or agenda pushed for what members they want. It makes the fans also wonder if their input even matters towards the final lineup. And hybe pushing wonhee and giving her screentime is like just mm they really want her in, even though I think she needs more training. Regarding the variety content, they apparently released clips of the trainees together behind the scenes on their channel, so I guess they keep it separate from the full episodes. Yuisa also got to say goodbye to the girls and spend time with them after, I think they released a video of it like after the broadcasting of the episode ended. Overall its jsut a problem of the production because the editing and pacing of the episodes are weird and unsatisfying especially not showing all three performances and always cutting it off, and the fact that they don't include in wholesome moments and activities in the full ep makes it boring.
I agree so much unlike I-Land ,boys planet , and Queendom puzzle which is airing right now they’re is like little to no funny moments no friendships shown it’s very weird for a survival show FRFR!!!
honestly ok wonhee should debut later, but the hate she and her stans are getting is uncalled for, like its not her fault she's cute and popular, I hope people just focus on their picks instead of generating hate
I agree that wonhee shouldn't be getting hate but her stans or people voting her, getting criticism is understandable. I mean we're talking about someone's entire career and future here. People shouldn't be picking just because they're "cute" lmao. People with actual talent who are polished and ready to debut should debut.

Finally someone said it!! It has been difficult to keep watching this show but I just can't stop 😅 Also, I got shocked watching the weverse videos about the "break time game" because some of the contestants have personalities totally different from what I expected. Haseul doesn't have any screentime but in the video she was so fun and easygoing, same for Jiwoo/Jeemin having amazing chemistry together. Why they're not showing this?? 😢
Right? I stopped watching mid way to episode 2 was it was too boring for me but Moa seemer to be the only one with a variety show personality. While I did follow the performances, I didn't watch the show (especially since there was lack of proper English translation). It's because of the fans and tikok compilation did I get around to actually watching the performances PROPERLY once more. It was after THAT where I got curious of done of the girls and watched the behind content. Then, imagine my shock. The girls were VERY fun to watch. Doesn't the last 2 and a half hours watching all types of content. Came to find out about Haseul. Also, Chanelle and Yewon. There was also a friendship I found: Chanelle and Moka. They're pretty close!
compared to other survival shows, it feels very lackluster and at times a bit boring. I only watch cuz I like a few trainees on here. if not, i wouldn't watch this.
r u next was supposed to be iland 2 (or girl version in other words) but there was an on going argument and hybe and mnet clearly had disagreements. this pushed hybe to quickly pull its trainees out from iland 2 line up of trainees and put them in a rushed survival show to get the attention of the audience before iland2 could air and become "more popular" than hybe's. they are trying to debut these girls asap while mnet is taking their time recruiting trainees. so its quite evident why it feels rushed. cuz it is.

@@kristeneeveegreen1187 Honestly people are allowed to complain about how young and how many minors are debuting. Some groups are mainly minors and you rarely see people 20+ debuting anymore. So kpop fans are allowed to complain about it. What people shouldn't do is attack the minors that are either debuting or participating in a show like this. Saying you think they should have more training however is not hate (just something that i've been seeing a lot). Also people are also allowed to be uncomfortable with groups with very young minors in it, and also voice their discomfort without people like you saying 'its kpop, this will always happen, this has happened in the past'. None of these are good arguments and won't stop people feeling this way. The only thing you create is more animosity.

I dont even understand how she is getting that many votes. How stupid can you be if you vote for someone for their looks instead of their talent? Wonhee struggles a lot with dance and interpretation. Singing is not simply reproducing notes with your voice. Dancing is not imitating movements with your body. You also need to connect with the audience and EXPRESS the song/music. Wonhee has zero stage presence and every performance her face looks like a scared puppy. She has a long way to go. Please vote for someone who is ready to debut. Don't take away a talented girls dream for a newbie cute girl.
Im sorry but with how much mediocrity there is right now I think it’s great that they focus more on the perfomances and peoples talent than their personalities .At the end of the day they are going to make music and if someone barely is able to hold a note why should they debut then?We need vocalists again in K-pop like this group is going to compete with babymonsters a group full of talented people with great voices that could really do magic if given the right songs(Nmixx I’m looking at you but their new releases have been good so far).Like K-pop isn’t about music anymore which is really sad expecially for someone who is into music.
also I hope they get to perform songs which they themselves choose, I want to see something more unique, what songs do they think theyll do well, the songs chosen so far are so boring
Jiwoo has strong vocals and the fact she isn’t in high level is soo frustrating. I feel like they’re trying to make wonhee like a center… wonhee needs more practice to get to that level…but yea not hating it’s just frustrating that she gets more compliments then other girls who have a more higher skill. These judges are pissing me off they need Rain or soyeon to put them on in there places😒
I-land was soooo much better, the ground was an amazing idea so that trainees don’t get eliminated instantly and the show showed so many moments of the members just having fun and bonding, but in r u next, the show doesn’t let the viewers understand and feel connected to the trainees. I wish r u next was being held in the old i-land building 😞 (Sorry for bad English)
This show is scripted and already had a fixed result. You can actually tell who's the one gonna debut and who is not based on the screen time itself. In the first episode, the girl who had introduction time screen is the one who will be debut, mark my words. What hybe/belift is doing now is just a publicity stunt to increase the members' popularity.
My top 6 in not particular order 1. Chanelle 2. Jiwoo 3. Jeongeun (My Red Velvet girls have shown us they are ready for debut!!!!) 4. Youngseo( my maknae) 5. Yunah 6.Hyewon 7. I am hoping they add one more person and I think that should be Jeemin or Ruka
Is it just me or I think the interactions and friendships are not that necessary? Yeah sure that makes you know the contestants better, but this is literally a survival show about talent, not personality. I prefer it so much better that we could focus on the strengths and weaknesses of an artist rather than other minor unimportant stuffs, in the end it’s about their ability to be a successful idol with their skills, their personality can grow with time, especially since they are still so young
I also don’t get those who hate on the judges neither, what you see on the screen isn’t everything the judges are, ofc to make it look dramatic the editors would only put the more strong and harsh criticism in the show, but I bet they also gave a lot more constructive criticism outside of what we see on the screen, and they see the performances live in real life, they would be able to see the stages differently from what we get through the camera, they’ve also been in the industries for years and ofc they can tell what’s good what’s bad, whereas we only see snapshots of each performance and favor the contestants we like, I bet a lot of us are bias too and not just the show itself
I just stopped watching I felt so board watching it. Iland wasnt best survival show but still I enjoyed. When Ruka got eliminated I stopped watching thats it I had enough. In my opinion best survival show for me was &Audition boys.
All my thoughts are basically mentioned in this comment section lol. At the end of the day, I already love the girls and have a lineup in mind. Though this survival show is quite weird, I hope a good lineup will form and netizens will give them attention because they have so much talent potential🙏 I just hope that even if not a lot of people watch the show, they will tune in for the debut of the participants who will win.
your too quick to judge you should have waited for ep 4 bc honestly I enjoyed it and Wonhee has def improved and so has the groups but the judges are harsh I guess sometimes and there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with being clumsy and in ep 4 she only tripped bc idkhername was too back and wonhee couldn't get past but she pulled it off very nicely and clean and she never complains unlike the other but yet you lot still hate her. talk abt ''protecting the young ones ''
She needs to improve? There’s contestants that are a lot better, and the Judges aren’t harsh its litterally their job💀 trainees get harsh criticism all of the time
Mostly agreed with you until u said moa should have been ranked higher than wonhee. Wonhee did pretty good even though she wasnt amazing, but moa has just felt bad to me the entire show in all ways except for dancing 😬
