Second and third days of our Ruahine hunting and fishing loop.
9 Ruahine Rainbows seen on the Sunday making it 18 for the weekend. With none spotted for kms then patches of awesome fly fishing.
The evening hunt saw a yearling spotted during bush stalking no shots taken.
We left at 7 45 on Monday morning and took 2 hours to get to the bush line. At this point we saw a ton of sign through the semi-alpine scrub then a spiker not long after.
Got back to the vehicle 7pm for a long and shattering walk out.

@@ManawatuFlyFishing impressive. once ihad done a couple nz back country trips i came to realize how hard it can be, and how the videos show only a fraction of the work involved. too old now so when i come back i will be limited to a few miles per day w/o a pack. enjoying your cliips!
