Ruben it all happened for a reason. Imagine if he didn't ask for your help, he would've changed the battery by himself, and if something bad happened with no one around to help him it's awful. You were probably in shock from the incident. Glad everyone is ok 😊

This isn't funny but when Ruben said "it hit him so hard his shoes fell off" 😅 but I'm glad hes okay and nothing worse happened and I like how you guys go into details with all your stories helps me invision them 😄😊 but I agree spend as much time as you can with the people that mean the most to you I say that because in my head exactly what you said I tell myself spend time with them you never know when it will be your last but never do so and I've learned to actually do it instead of just saying and thinking it I recently lost my dad due to covid January 21st its going to be a year soon and it's soo so heart breaking that time flew by so fast that it's crazy to even think about you never know who's going to go whether its today tomorrow in a week I personally never thought I'd loose my dad never in a million years would I have thought I always told myself spend more time be there he's getting older you never know what could happen especially when he's all you got and your sisters and that's it I have a lot of aunts and uncles and cousins I don't talk to anyone I hardly talk to my mom im not close to them it's just me my dad and 4 sisters thats my only family I have who are my everything and the fact that I lost my everything just breaks my heart so much that words can't describe this pain this feeling life goes on the world around you keeps going and your just there alone with your thoughts with a broken heart that you don't know when it'll get better how can it get better when your loved one is gone.. so yesss 100% yes be there make a difference by actually doing it instead of just thinking it or saying it out loud actions speak louder I have no regrets well I do but not really because I made sure to spend time with my dad and talk to him now I just have memories now that I will forever cherish ❤ im so thankful I got to spend time with him

Ruben seems to have unaddressed trauma From when his grandma passed being in a similar situation seems to have brought that all back sometimes you don’t really know how much something affected you until your faced with a similar situation

Karen sounds like Ruben’s mother lol like helping him talk and summing up whatever he says and making it sound more mature 🥰

We never know when it will be someone’s last day on earth. So happy papá is doing well. Mamá’s words were soothing and I hope Ruben will continue to feel better and that was an eye opener for the family. Have each other’s back and watch over each other.

As a fellow manual driver of 7+ years; obviously Reuben didn’t mess with anything but the nerves/not knowing how to drive a stick Rue didn’t have his foot on the break when he pressed the clutch, since the truck was in gear that is why the truck jumped. Otherwise it just would’ve turned on and stayed in place if it was in neutral. Happens to the best of us! Glad papa is ok!

I didn't expect this to be this serious but I'm relieved to know everyone had asked God for the best and EVERYONE safe and at the end of the day they care and love each other. Thank you for allowing us to hear your story and Reuben listen to your gut or intuition more we all have it and we have it for us to use in order to protect ourselves from danger.

Ruben don't at all be surprised that this is going to cause you to have PTSD. That was a very serious and traumatic event on top of the fact that you have lived with the fear of what happened to your grandmother even if you were just a baby. It will probably always be something you struggle to cope with. You have a wonderful family and girlfriend and surely if you ever feel the need to vent about the experience you will have them all to help you with that. But if you need more guidance seek a professional. 💗
