my last layer is holding me back a lot. My LL alone is often 5-6 secs even if I know what oll and pll it's going to be. Since that's the case, I need my cross and f2l to be faster than 3.5 secs... I've spammed last layer well over a thousand times using the finger tricks jperm uses and still can't get the tps and often lock up if I go 'too' fast. The only time I get sub 12 is when my last layer is within 3.5 secs but I need a sune or one of the square olls and one of the u perms or t perm
J-perm you are now my most favorite cuber. No one can teach better than you, and I really love all your conent. I hope you keep making fun videos in the future :D
This video helped me a lot to improve.....my average is around 14 sec but whenever i see ur video and start cubing it will come to around 12 or 13 seconds..thats great .....
I was not into 5x5 and I haven't actually watched your 5x5 series. But I really want to start with it. I know how to solve it, like centres, edges and all. I want some advanced algorithms. So please make a video having all required algs for 5x5, ranging from centres to edges to parity. It would be really grateful from your side
while i was watching this video I was doing solves. on one of them i got a 14.07 but the funny thing is I finished f2l when the timer was at 6 seconds lol.
sameee but I got 2 sub 10s yesterday but one of the scrambles were really lucky, try it, it's a one move cross and an f2l pair is already done: 9.75 D2 B L2 D2 R U2 R2 L2 D F' D2 R F2 D2 L2 U' F2 D L' B D2 U2 L D F2
That's like 2.5 seconds for Cross, 2.5 for F2L, 2.5 for Oll and 2.5 for Pll plus the time it takes you to pick up the cube and put it down which depending on the person could take a whole second
Dylan I need help, I avg 11 secs consistently but only 1 in every 40 solves is a sub-10, I can finish F2L in 6 secs avg, cross 1.5 secs avg, oll + pll + auf = 3 secs, where should I improve ?, Just asking :)
At that point, probably just practice is what you need. As you get used to your algorithms and get better at recognizing pairs (look ahead). You'll be able to get sub 30 easily. Just make sure that if you are doing 2 look OLL and PLL, that your algorithms you use aren't over complicated. Also many of the points in the sub 20 video probably will apply to you as well. Good luck!
Looking at this video after getting my first sub-10 solve a mahout and a half ago. And earlier today got a new best 3x3 average....and 4x4 average. Is that too much?
Will u ever comp to a regional comp such as northwest championships. It is likely to be held in Oregon or somewhere else this year. I really wanna meet u and get your autograph.
did you try bt. timer recently, or does it still suck for pro's.My gan-i, cant always keep up, but still recognize my solve. This timer is more accurate than stackmate/cubetimer, since you just start turning the cube to start and stop timing when done.
Let’s goooo who else has been waiting for this video for a while😂 some of you(like me)probably aren’t even close to being sub 10 but still have been waiting for this😂
@@Ceyxzl yes I've learnt it, I'm practicing it for a like a week now. Can you tell me how long it will take to get good at cfop bcos I'm struggling a lot in f2l.
It does help but I've noticed that even with 2 look OLL I'm pretty fast. For me it's my F2L that significantly lowers my time. I've started to realise just how important look ahead is. Now I've started trying to look ahead my times are slowly increasing, even if only a tiny bit.
This is better, you can apply all tips here to become sub-12 and you can improve more on that so that you become sub 10 faster because you already know these tips really well
@@Hilpo-nh8tx Did you forget I was the mastermind behind everything that happened to the life of Harry Potter? Bold of you to assume that I did not find a counter curse to Avada Kadabra
PopFizzCJ Improve look ahead, learn full 2 look oll and full pll if possible. Put emphasis on fingertricks.make cross effeciently every solve u do even if it takes unlimited inspection time. Know all effective ways to solve any f2l case
Thank you so much Jperm for all your amazing content. Thanks to you I just got my first sub 10 today (haven’t really watched this video properly) after just 5 months of getting into cubing even though I started with a virtual one a few months before to learn how to solve a cube
When you're planning your cross, do you actually think about the names of the moves? (eg: F U" F R) Or do you do it intuitively (eg: move that one here, insert red, etc)
Im writing this comment on December 31st 2023 I average 18 seconds Have a personal best of around 8 seconds I want to be sub 10 in 2024, as if i get lucky i can get 14 second averages. I need to keep learning how to inspect first pair and how to stop double recognizing. I will come back to this comment on February 1st Good luck to everyone else trying to improve! Update: March 6th 2024, I stopped cubing right around mid january, i average 18 seconds still i was hella motivated back in december lmao
7:30 can someone plz explain this to me?? I am fairly certain that he did it backwards. If they match, white is on the bottom. If they don't, white is on the back. Am I going crazy?!?!?!
Thanks a lot J Perm , I am able to get sub 12 average s all the time thanks to your sub 12 video. I average in the 11.5 seconds now and I am trying to get sub 10. I am watching your videos and UberCuber 's sub 10 video.
I've been cubing for 1 year and a half now I just got my official 13.27 average my times are 11.85,(15.42),15.26,(10.72),12.70 I really want to get sub 10. I notice my flaws especially with cross to f2l transition. I have a huge pause from cross to f2l that takes up to 3 seconds. I'm wondering if doing an x-cross or planning first pair during inspection is required for sub 10. My cross is executed in less then 1.5 seconds f2l done under 6 seconds oll 1.2 seconds and pll 1.3 seconds. Do you guys have any tips on how I can improve and maybe even get to sub 10?:D
good idea, im thinking on a good run i'd get 3 + 9 + 39 + 80 seconds, which is not sub-2 minutes. i need to work on 5x5 haha but a 2-4 relay would certainly be sub-1 minute.
Hey j perm it's been 2 years since I started cubing, practicing and practicing and I am close to sub 10 but others easily got sub 10 in 2 years but iam not sub 10 sometimes I am like 10 sometimes 11 do you have something to tell me to improve?
Thanks for your tips and tricks.. I watched your video #daily but still I'm not improving. I stuck in between 20 to 25 sec rarely I solved below 20sec. How much time(month) a person should take to reduce his timing approx 7 to 8 sec? Will you critique my solve if I get reply from you I will upload one video for critique. Thanks a lot.
+ENGINEER'S HOBBIES i expect it will take many months depending on how much you practice. instead of watching 10 videos in a row, it would be more useful to watch 1 or 2 and practice any good tips you learned. it's hard to focus on many new things at once. yeah sure upload a video and I can give u tips in a comment
