A translation of Jimmy's thoughts as a judge : "We're at the finals, what an incredible exchange ! We have two dancers who respect each other and of course two dancers I respect alot. Musically, both were at the top ; they had fun with it, found good replies to each other's rounds. I gave the win to Rubix because I thought that he was more diverse ; he rarely did resets and that helped for the storytelling in his dance. However I thought that Kantyn delivered an incredible third round : the fact that he was able to get in the music and express a deep character throughout too was really strong on his part. Although if I had to point out what was missing with Kantyn, it would be the amount of times he would interrupt his flow and thus storytelling. He would stop, then reset. This is unfortunate because it would have given more continuity to his rounds overall. Especially when you compare it to Rubix's rounds : Rubix's interactions with Kantyn showed that he was more at ease with the tracks. Everything he did worked and had its place in the round. For example the part where he was doing the gun concept .... It might look simple, but taking the time to do it within the music itself as well as staying in a pocket /story / character is NOT easy. Storytelling is definitely a quality that I greatly appreciate in Rubix's dance and one quality that makes him stand out the most from his peers. So big up to him and Kantyn. For staying this long in a event is hard, but weirdly I didn't see the time pass with the rounds (laughs). All in all I dug it."
Rubix seems to be a lot more composed now, he has finally contained the beast and controls for him to come out when the time is right! The Grizzly has evolved yet again!
Variety won. I am a fan of both and was looking for this exchange. I do gotta say, Kantyn is the up and coming dancer of 2021 by far. He killed the entire year. Much respect, need more of these battles!
I got Rubix aswell but DAMN this was a tough tournament. So much talent! It’s so crazy how he has elements of almost all Criminalz members and at 6:30 he reminded me of Waydi. The whole weapon scheme was crazy too!!
Watch and see guys rubix has now developed his patience in his style now and he is showing that he can mix it up.. it’s just a matter of time now he’s crossed that step to the next level.. watch this space for his developments
I've been thinking this for a little while. You can see Rubix' admiration for Alex whenever he watches him dance, and ever since it's been clear he's implementing those in-place steps and paces
Lmao the reason why rubix beat kantyn is the same reason why he beat junior. He's obviously been in the lab experimenting. His peers need to get in there too before he leaves them behind
@@VipinValsan-VIP- Yes, he is definetly. I didn‘t know he trained them. He is from Yudat as far as I know. Criminalz and Yudat had the most craziest battles. So they always were in contact
@@deryat.3797 That's why I love the French hip hop scene, no real beef between each other just love, so much raw talent in different generations and the youngsters get good exposure early on
@@VipinValsan-VIP- Yes, french hip hop is so evolving. Sometimes I feel like I am watching art.. There was kind of bad vibes when les twins became more famous but now it changed. Do you have alltime favourite battles?
@@deryat.3797 Honestly I can't choose.. Sometimes I find gold in videos with 100 views. Do u watch entire tournaments? Sometimes there are awesome moments in prelims too
