I've been watching you almost since you started, but I've never commented. But I've never seen Dibs, really, just standing there unsaddled and standing in the distance until she got up after she rolled. Lady, that is one gorgeous mare! Just beautifully put together and she seems to have a wonderful personality. Just thought I'd say that. Thank you, I appreciate your channel and all your work so much! I'm in the Nebraska Sandhills, cattle country, and I so enjoy watching how you work, too. It's just like we do it up here!

Been following you and Dibbs' journey. Back in the day, in California, I leased (from a studio barn) the incredible Paint Kevin Costner rode in the movie Silverado. So, what did I name him? "Silverado". Awful ground manners, that gelding was crabby and aimed his ass at me at feeding time, but once you were on his back there was no smarter horse. Put in a 16.7 to get me a third in the CWRA (now defunct). Schooled him in dressage moves as well. Also rode with Richard Farnsworth on a few trail rides. He liked mules...a lot. This was the most humble man. As I age, I am buying Breyer horses again- God bless 🙂

My granddaughter played softball starting at 5 years all the way through college then coached for a fews years at the collegiate level... Great memories.

Dibs really has excellent timing in changing leads.......puts her in balance for her turns! Smooth in stride..... all you need is more traveling and running in dif arenas!

Years ago I was able to visit with Duff Severe.....he had his own saddle shop but he worked for Hamleys! I am 74 so that was a long time ago......like I was 21! So nice to hear your saddle is a Hamley.....go stuff!!

Hey! Any win at the Pink Buckle is terrific! Shows the talent is right there.....horse and rider together! Barrel racing is a very competitive sport. Dibs did not let you down and you must be doing things right! Kudos!!

Come to That Famous Preston Night Rodeo! We will have a place for your horses and the kids to play. Most barrel horses that come here seem so nuts.

I have ridden horses that were used exclusively for barrel racing . Then retired. I much prefer the way you not only race her but work her in other ways. She is a much calmer horse. And probably enjoys racing more. It was hard to convince the retired racer that it was OK to go slow and that she didn't have to charge to an exit .
