Omg! Love you two together. Excited to go on the ruby in March 2025. 35 year anniversary. We’ll be in the penthouse suite. Totally looking forward to it.
And we love your comment Kathryn❤️ Oh wow, Penthouse on Ruby will be amazing, let us know how you get on, and if you wanted to join our facebook group (if you are not in it already), we'd love to see some photos of the PH when you are onboard. Linzi & Mark
You two are the cutest! Strapless bra involved…😂”kinky mirror”??? But still a shower curtain in the mini-suite??? Smallest hair dryer I’ve ever seen! Is a very big sofa, but otherwise looks like a balcony cabin.
I do always think these rooms are so beautiful - I saw a more modern version on Discovery Princess, and was just SO impressed with the amount of space in there. The only thing I do wonder about is that weird little table as you come in - I've never understood the benefit, ha!
The only use we found for the little table was to put our medallions on Fraser, so we knew where they were and didn't forget them before leaving the cabin.
Interesting this cabin is virtually identical to our Superior Deluxe Balcony on Ventura. But then they are the same class of ship. Not a mini suite on P & O that seems to be a common thing on Princess giving their cabins a better title. Have fun Guys.
We booked a GTY deluxe balcony and thinking of bidding for a mini-suite. There is a very large difference between regular and Reserve Collection Mini Suite's. Not sure if the difference is worth it. BTW, love your "jet lag" videos.
Thank you Richard. We did the bid-up for the reserve collection mini suite (we had a regular mini-suite already) and got it for £75 per person, we just put in the minimum bid. It's always worth putting in those minimum bids if you are happy where you are, but happy to pay that amount if you get it. We've never put a bid in above minimum on any we have won to date, and probably have about a 50/50 success rate.
How was embarkation? We're cruising out of Vancouver next year on Coral and we've heard it can be quite a faff. Did Linzi specify the (complimentary) wine choice in the cabin, seems convenient that a wine Mark wasn't fond of was supplied by accident?
We’d heard similar stories about embarking from Vancouver so we were prepared for the worst. Turns out to be one of the best organised embarkations overseas we’ve ever had. You arrive and bags are checked straight away (so no lugging them around) then you go up the stairs to check in (very quick), then back downstairs through immigration, and the international one was so quiet as most of the passengers were from Canada or USA (go through a different path). We were on the ship from start to finish in less than 20 mins 😀 Honestly it was pure chance that it was a wine one of us liked and the other didn’t 😂
Thank you so much :) We bid for the reserve collection mini-suite on the bid up program and got it for the minimum bid of £75 each, so well worth it. The mini-suite compared to the balcony cabins on this particular cruise was about £200 a person more.
Can we ask how you were watching the video Karl? Was in on TV, Mobile, with headphones or on speakers? Sound is always subjective, but we do the best we can to ensure it is balanced for the different viewing formats. Thanks, Linzi & Mark
