Remember if you need to do a lot of damage with storm and you are running out of cards you can grape shot, then past in flames to grap shot again. Halving the amount of damage you need.

@johnnyjost27 oh yeah that's true. I guess it hasn't come up yet for me though I can see it being relevant if opponent has really high life total or the combo whiffed once or twice

I'm using Highway Robbery as a budget option to draw 2 cards for 1 mana sacrificing a land that's already tapped. It works quite well when the runaway steam-kin it's already rolling

you can check your storm count by going into your sideboard by clicking your deck and selecting sideboard even when you don’t have wish

I realize this is the historic version of the deck but just so you know Thassa's Oracle is legal in Timeless and you make a ton of treasure tokens with this deck.

I love this deck and have been doing pretty well with it. I would suggest for quicker kills Tendrils of Agony in the sideboard, and I also keep a weather the storm in there for fizzles. Wondering if you have an alternate wincon in case of Leyline of Sanctity? I haven’t yet come up with one.

Do you splash any colors for tendrils or weather or rely on treasure tokens? Both seem like good ideas. I've just been playing bo1 so haven't seen any leyline. I'm sure if I start running bo3 I'll run into them

@@griffinMTG I typically rely on treasures, since the deck makes so many. It seems to work really well and cuts down the spells needed for the finish.

Excellent idea for DRC! I struggled with Birgi. I tried unlucky witness with some success. Thoughts on Jegantha companion sideboard.

Ill credit DRC to @davidcampbell6087, his idea. I ultimately decided to exclude jegantha since it takes a sb spot, but I think its fine. Very unlikely it ever is relevant since we just want to combo and not interact with opponent

Am I correct that the deck is very susceptible to removal, im usually a combo piece short or a creature is removed. It feels like im missing consistency. Any pointers?

It is which is kinda why I liked my first version with less creatures. Always wait to play ral until you are ready to combo off

How does this deck win against wizards or Yawgmoth? The former just dismantles all your pieces before you can combo off, and the latters gets Yawgmoth on the field on turn 3 and then proceeds to kill all your creatures the moment they hit the field. I've played a few games vs Wizards and a couple vs Yawgmoth so far, and it just feels hopeless, the deck doesn't have any way to disrupt their gameplan, while they do have ways to disrupt ours. EDIT: Alright, after playing 10+ matches, this deck feels more like a meme than a real deck. I'm curious what your stats are with it, since I couldn't even reach 50% winrate, while most other decks easily reach 70%+. Even when you aren't getting disrupted, there is a non-zero chance of getting stuck during combo. EDIT2: And damn, discarding a tutored spell to gamble 2 times in a row really sucks.

@@griffinMTG Oh, I guess I got baited after going 7 wins in metagame challenge with your jeskai control deck, and thought this one was also a strong meta call. Hopefully I will be able to find some use for those 13 mythics I've crafted just to try out this deck, but thankfully I'm not at all short on mythic wildcards.

@Derael yeah this was more of a work in progress based on my last storm video. I usually try to make that comment but maybe I forgot or edited it out. But did well in the meta game challenge with that control list? Did you make changes? That's dope

@@griffinMTG Nope, didn't make any changes, though I only tried 1 run. Reverse Polarity won me quite a few games though, especially when I managed to steal Escaped Phlage and kill flipped Ajani with the trigger, that was pretty brutal.
