I love how smart the grimm acted. The beowolf that noticed melee wasn't working and decided to try projectiles. The fact the gorilla that KNEW that hunters and huntresses don't go down that easy

kinda proves that they have at least some form of sentience, maybe the reason the grimm attacks humanity is because they are upset the gods left them and blame humanity (which is technically right), notice how when qrow talks about when the grimm were first formed he mentions them attacking the gods of lights creation now there is none of that and humanity is public enemy number 1.

Binged RWBY just recently, but never saw this character short. Good thing I did, and the score fit the scene perfectly. Timeskip Ruby's pretty badass from what I'm seeing.

I appreciate this score very much. So much of it is a remix of RLR, but there's enough original instrumental to seem like its own thing. It's the perfect balance of homage and moving forward (something TLIM could stand to learn from).

After listening to this and the red trailer numerous times, I realized that the portion starting from 1:54 is the same as the portion beginning the red trailer fight directly after the music stops, just in a lower key.

Watching this fight again made me think about something: is Ruby's semblance even speed? Notice that when she makes that final stab (before she kills the Beringel) she zooms unnaturally quickly from her place in the air to the Grimm *without firing her weapon* (and we know she didn't shoot her weapon there because her blade was already facing downwards). If she could do that without needing a shot, why would she waste ammo to zoom through the air normally? The answer: I don't think it's a speed semblance, at least not in the obvious sense. It's an *inertia*-based semblance, which gives her the ability to alter the pressure forced on her when moving, and likely strengthens the faster she's moving. (I used to think she had a light-manipulation semblance, which ties in with her eyes' power, but it seems too far-fetched for someone as impulsive as Ruby to have that much training in manipulating peoples' cognition of her.) I'm likely wrong, but seeing this fight again made me theorize. If you'd like to debate on it, feel free to comment :)

I'm not sure where I saw it, but I think it's official, but her ACTUAL semblance is much more interesting; she can turn into rose petals! I'd imagine she can also use aura/semblance to move around as said petals, but I have to wonder, are ALL of the petals her, or can she "reform" at any of the petals she becomes? There's so many more questions

Apparently according to Qrow, she can burst into rose petals, and since petals are very light, it enables her to move at amazing speeds. But since it is her semblance, it drains her aura (which is quite low by the way) so at times (like the Red trailer) she uses the recoil from her gun to propel herself around the battlefield
