I can't believe that Ruby thought that this was a bad interview. She managed to get a lot of fun answers from M. M seemed to really enjoy not being asked the same press junket questions over and over again. I love how at the end of the programme when Ruby is wearing all M's clothes, you hear M pissing herself at Ruby ("Get my damm clothes off!!! Haha 😂😂) ❤️❤️🌈🌈
She spent most of the time talking about Madonna's age, how she's doing ok, what will she do when she isn't famous...you don't really tell one of the most famous women in the world that she's got a bit of time left...I think that's what she meant. There weren't really any questions asked more comments...
I just said that exact same thing to my friend as we were watching this video. I can't believe Ruby was paranoid thinking she did a bad job. It was a great interview and she even had Madonna laughing.
"if i lived in London they'd be doing everything they do to Princess Diana" and, years down the line, when she did live there, she proved herself right.
the moment she turned 30 interviewers super fixated on asking her when she was "retiring, marrying, having children", all as alternatives for her career, which they assumed she was no longer fit for, so early on in her career... it was and remains insane to see in interviews. the presence of all those topics here captures it well, except she and Ruby are actually joking and going back and forth.
One fo the best Madonna interviews out there! I really honestly don't understand what Ruby was on about decades later....and Madonna seemed really fun AND polite.
This is the funnest the FUNNIEST the best interview she has ever given.Howard Stern was really good on going through her life story but this is hilarious.
Very very special and great interview. What people dont get, this interview shows her funny / human side and at the same time shes even telling some secrets …. Never happened in other interviews. But anyway, we’ll never know what happened behind the scene as long as liz rosenberg is present 😂😂😂
Why does Ruby hate her interview with Madonna so much? I thought it was great and funny. I think Madonna was trying to be funny and play into public/press perception of her in an ironic way and Ruby took her seriously and got nervous? They should do a reunion interview nowadays.
Ruby probably thought she was a over doing it, asking wrong questions and was embarrassed looking back a bit. This happens to all of us when we look back it irks us
I actually quite like this interview. It's less like an interview and more like M is just having a kiki with a girlfriend, not unlike the relationship she had with Sandra Bernhard.
She is right about meeting royalty. Even if you dont think you will lose your composure , it sort of disarms you and you get into this bowing and infant like fluster. Funny how life works
its also wild how for WEEKS everyone is still talking, posting and reporting on madonnas face at the grammys and her response, blaming it on the cameras. which is true- they didnt zoom in that close when it was on tv. i can only imagine someone like madonna who has pioneered the way for so many, a person who hates aging (who doesnt?) and knows all her good camera angles- when the news started picking up and reporting with the close up! id be pissed!

You can clearly see that Madonna doesn't trust Ruby Wax. The whole interview is Wax knowing she has one of the most famous women in the world next to her and she's crumbling and trying her best not to feel pressured but fails. She had the opportunity for a great interview and she blew it and that's why she still bangs on about it now. It's all abit cringe and definitely not a great watch. I don't think we'll ever see them together again.
She is too buy explaining Madonna...to Madonna! Missed opportunity for Ruby. Madonna's caked with makeup. She wears tons of it here...and looks absolutely stunning doing so. Hair by Sam Mcknight? I am not sure. I forgot!
OMG a statue of Napoleon in one of the rooms! They really cashed out on the decor in this establishment! Were the guests stealing from the mantelpiece or is/was the owner just cheap? That is quite embarrassing. I guess if you were at a Disneyworld, it would be a regular to have a Mickey Mouse toy on.
I think Ruby was quite rude going through her bag and then also wearing her clothes. Or when she took the fur and pretended it was the dog. Famous or not, I don’t think that’s a proper behavior. I mean I wouldn’t let her touch, look and play with my bag and clothes. And the things she said in the end… could hardly believe it. Sad, because otherwise I think it was a really nice interview. Madonna was funny, kind and stunning❤️
She insisted about not being shot from that angle at the beginning of the interview and I think the cameraman punished her there for the smuggy remark she just made.

Madonna is so uncomfortable here - Ruby is like a bulldozer and won't actually get to know her. She just lectures Madonna based on her sorry issues with age.
You people see how she destroyed the wonderful symmetry of her face, beautiful jaw line, with that wacky plastic surgery? Natural beautiful lips are gone too.
Everything would have gone/ did go in any case. She was just limiting the damage.... it is actually not about any of us finding her beautiful or not, but the camera doesn't lie about ageing...
