I love how his staff has a slight bend to it when hurling the fire ball. Its so slight but gives the sense of literal weight to the spell. Crazy animation detail
It is pretty cool that they show the force behind the spells in the anime. I don't mean to be nitpicky, but i think i remember the light novels say that there's actually no recoil to the spells, which didn't make much sense to me lol
@@kaeman09 Yeah, I prefer the method of the show if that's true. Since using magic saps your power in some way like we've seen with Rudy getting tired from overcasting, it is some kind of tangible force that interacts with the world and should affect the surrounding area in ways other than just the impact itself. Bending the staff here because of the weight/density of his mana, his fireball against Orsted melting the ice in the cave, etc.
i think you are both on the right track but i dont think the production team thought so far...have you ever hold a pencil in the middle with your fingers and moved it up and down, like a wiggle? it makes the illusion of the pen being made of rubber and wobbling around...its an illusion made from speed (and what our eyes can see...round about 24 frames per sec) and i think this is the effect they tried to implement here...speed and like i said, your statement with the magic power and heaviness adds up
God. the way it shows the snow melting, the wind whipping up, the look on everyones faces. they really do an incredible job at showcasing how big of a deal the magic is in this show, love it
Well only suitcase nuc or smaller. Army uses a device to create fireball for Atomic Simulations that is way less powerful than the real thing. Seen that in the Army.
@@wholesomeAnimeThighsXD2101isnt he already saint level in water magic? also he had more important things to look into like finding his mother etc. And i would guess that even for him it wouldnt be that easy to just train himself to become saint magic level in the other fields.
To get ranked at saint level you have to learn specific spells that are extreme area of effect (like Cumulonimbus) and are not very useful in actual battles. Rudeus hasn’t learned these yet, but in terms of how strong his spells are, he is already capable of casting Imperial tier spells. He just doesn’t understand his own strength.
Honestly quality of this season wasn't that far behind season 1. It's just that the story wasn't as exciting. Still a great watch! I'm on episode 8 right now
The reason being, this whole season was character development. It was a very good season, just not nearly as much action. But idk, personally, I laughed and I cried, I enjoyed it, and we got one more episode it sounds like till they take a break. Then 2nd half comes out in April.
Wow, this is a bit late...and while I'm at it, why do you not post any clips from My Tiny Senpai? Are you that afraid of the Twitter Freaks (now known as X-crement)?
@@defiantboss9418 Is that 13 including episode 0? Or do you think we'll get a legit 13? Cause after what happened today, I swear to god I hope we get 13+0 Also, I heard part 2 of season 2 is coming in April. So ehh 6/7ish months.
@@bernardoheusi6146 Because some consider that Rudeus's past (30 years old guy) doesn't sit right with what he did with Eris in S1 they're not completely wrong tbf
Not completely wrong but no where to close to completely right. But they don't come from a reincarnation tradition if they did they have no trouble with it. And he really is his new age not his old although emotionally now he more mature than he ever was in old life. @@orsaz924
He didn't really care about living anymore so he didn't try to defend himself. It's only because his party members came back for him that he regained some sense of purpose, however frail that is.
This season is entirely about character development. If you are only entertained by action then watch something else. Lots of characters and events in this will be important later on. 2nd half of season 2 will have a bit more action and season 3 is going to be nuts.
I like so much of this show but I find Rudeus to be annoying. His constant waffling, indecision and when he does make a decision it is usually the wrong one that he then spends a whole season whining about. I love when characters grow but his is just so slow and almost nonexistent.
@@CaIamity_ The second season failed. There is no point in looking further. but the first season was just gorgeous, hooked with its plot! And the second season, as if I'm watching a completely different anime. This season of high school adventure the plot rolled down.
i feel like this show would be way better if instead of rudeus as the mc it was just boruto cuz at least he's just unlikable not irredeemable and unlikable like rudeus
