@@Progamer-vz8hd i don't think that's the reason, especially according to the lightnovel, the actual reason it's just that many animes has cliche where the mc is clueless about girl's feelings, so rudeus would have stayed unaware even if he was single and looking for partner i used to get frustraetd over mc not getting the clear hints, but after me for many times mistaking girl's hints for liking me, i can't blame him anymore, i can't understand them myself
Funny. I would love to see the reaction if Roxy was married to Rudeus and Roxy cheated on him with a random dude, because everyone been cheering for Rudeus cheating on Sylphie, I bet y'all also would love to see the girls cheating on Rudeus.
It's really endearing to see Rudy acting his age from time to time. Here you can clearly see how giddy he is that he finally got to reunite with his mentor-idol-goddess and has this completely innocent undertone in his every action towards her. Meanwhile, Roxy is very obviously thirsting for him, but he's too dense and happy to notice.

@@theboyisshh Mostly. It’s not accurate though. He legitimately is a 17 year old boy/young man but he has memories from his past self. He doesn’t think like a 40 year old in a 17 year old body. It’s more like a 17 year old having the memories from when they were a 40 year old in a past life.
This episode has given me so many amazing things this week, I mean from Rudy finally getting the scent of the Goddess back after the horrible thing Lillia did to the single most adorable looks Roxy has ever shown, it's been an episode full of joy.

Spoiler It’s not like he had much choice in the matter though. Roxy had to get him out of his depression or his and Sylphy’s kid would be growing up without a father.
