BACH: Capriccio on the Departure of his Brother; SCHUBERT: Wanderer Fantasy; BRAHMS: Four Pieces, Op 119; BEETHOVEN: Sonata #21, Op 53. Rudolf Serkin, live recital, 1 April 1974. TORONTO
I heard this recital at Symphony Hall in Boston when I was 23 - a long time ago. A few missed notes mean nothing. He was 70 years old at the time. But the strength of his musicianship is unparalleled. So too with so many of his recordings. He was genius. I am so glad I happened upon this recording. I can't imagine how it was obtained, but thank you to whoever posted it.
This is music, pure music and you have to be that guy and make it political. Please crawl back into the hole where you came from and don't defile great things with your childish BS. You don't deserve a place in here.
