They put on full display how much men can ignore a woman’s psychological needs. It starts with what kind of woman she is. Some women would be ok with him leaving. Some would not. After giving birth a woman is physically hurting so being there to help her to the restroom, hand her things out of reach, or simply handing her the baby shouldn’t be dismissed. She was experiencing birth for the first time so this was an emotional moment for her. So being there for the woman is just as important as being there to witness the birth of your first child. I get it though. I come from those same streets that taught Gilbert how to think like this. It’s things like this that I make sure I teach my sons so they don’t get their lessons from the streets. Salute to Rudy, His Queen, and their child.
